Melton West, VIC 3337

Used to be great, lots of space and natural environment. now the developers are selling tiny blocks for big bucks and the infrastructure is not there too support it. Lots of hoons and bored youths with overcrowded schools.

I am living here more than three years. Very friendly people, beautiful parks, families, schools, community centre and play grounds.

Beautiful suburb with lots of parks, big shopping centre with all brands and everything close by. Now it’s called Harkness and really growing with lots of new development. Gives you a feel of hill station - beautiful view, nice and clean streets, plus an advantage of warm friendly neighbours. Best thing is majority of houses are owner occupied. Thumbs up for Harkness / Melton west 👍

This is one of the best Suburbs I’ve lived so far. Recently started construction of my own house. The growth rate in terms of population and price for this suburb is amazing. It has really Great shopping centres, schools, community centre, parks and almost all amenities for daily use. Excellent for families with growing needs. Also now it’s called Harkness as a new suburb and it’s really growing with lots of new development. Thumbs up for Harkness / Melton west 👍

Melton West is such s beautiful suburb to live in, I've only just moved here and I love it so so much! Beautiful houses, clean streets, warm friendly neighbors! 1 minute walk to the Grand Woodgrove shopping complex. Melton West has a friendly community feel about it which is great for anyone. Melton in general is honestly Melbournes best kept secret! It's also a fantastic investment opportunity! so much is happening across all of melton and you see and feel it everywhere you go! Over 500 Milion invested in rail infrastructure to duplicate the line to deer park west which will pave the way for electrification and connect melton to Melbourne via Metro trains! The Melton Hospital plan is gaining traction! West Pines shopping and business precinct is already underconstuction! Now to compliment all of this you have really affordable property prices!! dont listen to what people say about Melton, come down and spend a day here for yourself and you will see straight away what a beautiful place Melton really is!!
P.s Melton is not that far away! Were only 40km or a 40min drive from Melbourne CBD. Compare that to Cranbourne which is 50km and over 1 hour 20 min away! or Frankston which is 60km or 1 hour 30min away.

Melton West is a great place to live and very affordable. With outdoor spaces and a short drive to the shops Melton West can only improve with time.


The only downside for Melton West is the train station is further away which leaves Melton South and Brookfield in a better position in that regard.

I love Melton west! You can get all amenities nearby. Schools, childcare, parks are just a walk from our place. You can feel fresh air in this suburb. And beautiful few creeks, lakes and park around for families to spend sometime. Melton secondary college is nearby and wood grove shopping centre is across the road where we can get everything. Can't think of any negatives.

I recently moved to Arnolds creek estate, melton west which is newly developed estate in Melton West which has most of facilities available as per family requirements like new primary school, new shops, new park lands, Kinder Garten and childcare facilities. This area is beautiful, quiet and still reasonable property price and safe.

There is a real cost in time and money to have to live so far from the city. However there should be some benefit in terms of really nice and fresh air, larger block sizes and far cheaper land. Also it should be pleasant to the eye with hills and trees. Otherwise why bother. Melton West is just not nice enough to make it worth living so far from the city.

I never like suburbs where you see so many houses with cars in their front yards that should be in a wrecking yard. Another bad sign are bars on windows and unkempt nature strips. I'm sure the majority of people here are nice but the place has an unpleasant vibe.

I used to take my kids to Melton for basketball matches and the number of rude drivers is more than anywhere else in Melbourne.

Love, love love, Melton West, lovely parks and peace and quiet. Also great from families and professionals alike. Also brand new houses with reasonable rent!

Melton West is wonderful, I don't know why Brookfield keeps being mentioned, it has its own suburb profile.
Very well created community Melton West is, and well serviced.

Great safe feeling area looks like the West side's version on berwick

Its 43km from the city!!! Tarneit, Truganina, williams landing is much much closer...
Unless you have a Toyota prius, you will be paying for petrol through your nose to commute to city and back home. I would not want to rent in this suburb.

It's hard to imagine how a quility of life can go so unnoticed by the rest of Melbourne. For comfort,quality of life and ease of living why would you not look at Brookfield. A world on it's own
