Metung, VIC 3904

We initially visited Metung for a holiday trip during Christmas five years back and since then it has become a tradition, a stunning town with elite class settlement. A quiet seaside country town which has everything on offer - hot springs, golf club, boating, fishing, fun activities for kids during summer- water showers in the park and amazing eateries around, metung hotel is simply amazing to spend time with friends and familiies. Love this town.

Over the New Year break I visited here for lunch and a drink at the famous Metung Hotel.
Coming here as a child, it was also nice to reminisce of those past times.

The Metung Hotel was great as always, with exceptionally fresh seafood I enjoyed for dinner. The beer was pretty fresh too.

Definitely recommend visiting Metung if down this way.

Beautiful Metung! A very special village which captures the essence of Gippsland lakes living, with a year round holiday vibe.
It's easy to fall in love with Metung either as a weekender or permanent resident, with its picture postcard setting, walking paths, great eateries, boating facilities and leisure activities abound. A truly special place!

Stunning town, surrounded by the beautiful water and docks. the whole place just has a real upperclass feel but still manages too maintain the quiet seaside country town. I will be truely shocked if this place doesnt blow up the market when these hot springs are finished!.

Metung is a beautiful well kept secret on the Gippsland Lakes. A small vibrant village on the water, with breathtaking views and something for everyone. It's quiet, laid back but with an air of sophistication and elegance. With a small but superb selection of shops and eateries facing the bay, as well as the Metung Hotel with direct water views, an ideal place for a cold beer and seafood platter, while watching the sunset and boats going by. There is a monthly local market on the green and a superb golf course, located in the manicured kings cove estate. Also don't tell anyone but there are also plans in place for a Luxury Hot Springs & Spa Resort to be developed. Close to Lakes Entrance and Bairnsdale for all your needs, ski fields and wineries, Metung really is a little piece of paradise.
