Great place for small families. Lots of units. Shopping and public transport is very close. Millner school is good
The Sabine Road is noisy. And it does not have easy access to beach like Nightcliff or Rapid Creek has.

Millner really is quite well positioned in terms of accessibility - everything you need is within easy reach whether its work or recreation - Darwin City, Jape Homemaker Village, Nightcliff Shopping Centre, Casurarina Shopping Centre, Casuarina Beach, Nightcliff foreshore, Rapid Creek, bike & walking paths, swimming pool, parks, public transport, markets, both public & private schools and Charles Darwin University all within a 5 - 15 min drive!

Millner is centrally located in the northern suburbs. A stone's throw from the airport, the beachfront, Shops, Casuarina Shopping Square and best of all a casual stroll down to the Rapid Creek Markets. Most of the people that live here seem to be fairly houseproud.

We moved to Millner 4 months ago and love it! There's great facilities in the area, not too far from the Nightcliff shopping centre, fresh fruit & veg at the shops on Bagot Rd and of course the markets on Sundays. It's oh so close to the Homemaker Centre when you need ANYTHING for the home. There are also schools & ovals close by, not that we have kids, but it's good for exercising! Plenty of people out walking after work with easy access to the Nightcliff walking & cycling track as well. Maximum 15 minute drive to Darwin city, 5 minute drive to Casuarina and maybe 20 to Palmerston if you get every red light! It's affordable living in a nice peaceful suburb. Our apartment block is near loads of others, but we still feel like we're living in a quiet street. Our only gripe so far is the closest restaurants are all fast food. We love eating out and will have to hunt down some more local eateries. BUT, when everything is close by, we don't mind taking that 5 or 10 minute drive to eat somewhere nice. Can totally recommend Thai Thai across the road from Casuarina Shopping Centre!

No need for alarm clocks in Millner. The neighbours will wake you before 7am every morning getting themselves busy for the day. Weither it be screaming at the kids to get into car for school or mowing the lawn or water blasting before 7am even on Sundays. If not the humans then the dogs that roam the streets chasing people as they walk or ride past or barking outside other peoples gates stirring up the whole street. Family get togethers are popular. Too bad they turn into abusive swearing and screaming matches. Not a good place to live if you are a shift worker. It is very central to lots places and access to major roads is good. Great shopping close by at the home maker centre. Close access to Rapid Creek markets.
