"Family friendly and lovely neighbourhood vibe"

We first considered moving to Mount Cotton just over 10 years. The new IGA and other specialty shops create a wonderful vibe in this family friendly suburb. On the weekends, the park is filled with families and scooters/bicycles.

We moved to Mt Cotton almost a year ago and we just love it! It has a bush, country feel but is right near the bay.

"Modern living with lots of green space"

Mount Cotton has the best of both worlds, only 35mins to the city, easy access to the highway and the peace and quiet you would find in the country. We bought here recently and love it for the fresh air, no traffic noise. We are also lucky to see the odd wallaby of an evening.

"Mt Cotton"

We moved to Mt Cotton in November 2010. We were attracted by the stylish VillaWorld homes here and we bought one that was 18 months old as the previous owners had already put a pool in.

We love the beautiful bushland surroundings of our estate, we sit on our back deck and there are gum trees everywhere. It's very peaceful in the evening listening to the kookaburras and other birds in the trees around us.

Within 5 minutes walk of our house there is a fantastic child care centre, a convenience store, a pharmacy and two bulk billing doctors surgeries. There are also a couple of different parks and playgrounds. It's quite common to see wallabies hopping about, as well as lots of other wildlife.

We are only 15 minutes drive away from large shopping centres at Victoria Point, Capalaba and Loganholme. Redland Bay is only 12 minutes drive away. The theme parks Dreamworld / Movieworld are 25 minutes away and Southport / Surfers Paradise is around 45 minutes drive.

I work in the city and drive 15 minutes every morning to the Logan Hyperdome, where I park and catch a bus that takes 40-45 minutes into Elizabeth Street. There is a bus that operates from Monday to Friday, but only a few times a day. There are no buses on weekends or public holidays, so you are dependant on having cars.

Most of Mt Cotton is part of a Telstra Smart Community, internet is fibre optic and very fast. I have had download speeds of over 1000 kb/s here, when we used to live in Carindale the fastest I ever got was around 400 kb/s.

We live about 60 metres from one of the main roads, Valley Way, but we rarely hear any traffic from it.

A great place for young families!
