Reviews of Mount Richon, WA

"A Hidden Gem."

Tranquil yet so close to the city centre with all its amenities.
A Naturally Green suburb that can leave you sometimes to forgot that you live so close to the local city centre.
Stunning views whether you’re facing the CBD or the very green national park located on the Eastern side.
A very safe quiet suburb. I’ve never had any crime issues or dealt with antisocial behaviour.
Very close to many beautiful walking trails throughout the hills region!
Many Great eateries in the hills region located close by.
In the catchment for the well rated Public primary school located in Bedfordale.
Very reasonably priced. Underrated and unknown by most of Perth locals.

"Peaceful Hills Living - Armadale WA"

I have lived in this suburb for the past 9 years. I am situated on top of the hill facing Rockingham so no City views but absolutely stunning nonetheless! Formerly part of Armadale and Wungong, Mount Richon was approved as a suburb in 2003. It is only 6 minutes from the Armadale city centre and about the same distance to Byford. Much of the eastern boundary of Mount Richon adjoins parkland of regenerated bush, and some the more elevated parts of the suburb retain remnant native trees. Our property backs on to the Bungendore National Park. We have many Kangaroos, in groups of up to ten, they are regular visitors to our yard - attracted by the fresh greenery of the gardens in the warmer months. We take them for granted and love seeing our friends and their kids delight when they spot them. If you choose to move to Mt Richon, it will not disappoint!

"Untapped Armadale hills views!"

Mount Richon was part of Armadale and was re-named in 2003 after a local vineyard in the area. It is within the Armadale Council area and lies between South West Hwy and Albany Hwy. This area has a range of housing styles from new 4 bed brick and tile to unique homes that take advantage of the hilly ground and offering great city views. The block sizes vary and 2000m2 is not uncommon, especailly with older style houses. The area has around 2000 people living in there, with a range of inhabitants - from families to singles. However, the dwellings are almost all houses, with smaller units to be found in nearby Armadale. Public transport, trains and buses, are accessed in Armadale as is the main shopping and medical district. Schools may be found throughout the surrounding suburbs of Armadale and Kelmscott.
