"Muirhead"

Muirhead, a beacon of modernity in the suburban landscape, stands as a
testament to contemporary living with its newly developed residential
areas showcasing sleek and modern homes. This suburb, distinguished by its
commitment to providing residents with cutting-edge amenities, emerges as
a haven of comfort and sophistication.

One of Muirhead's standout features is its commitment to green spaces,
evident in the meticulously designed parks and playgrounds that dot the
neighbourhood. These recreational areas not only enhance the aesthetic
appeal of Muirhead but also provide residents of all ages with ample
opportunities for leisure and outdoor activities. It's a community that
values the well-being and enjoyment of its residents.

In terms of convenience, Muirhead places residents just a stone's throw away from the Casuarina Shopping Centre, ensuring that retail therapy, dining, and essential services are always within easy reach. This accessibility adds a layer of convenience to daily life, making Muirhead an attractive choice for those seeking a well-connected and modern
suburban experience.

The strategic location of Muirhead is further highlighted by its proximity to healthcare and educational institutions. Situated around the corner from both public and private hospitals and very close to Charles Darwin University (CDU), residents can rest assured that their health and educational needs are well catered to.

Adding to its appeal, Muirhead is not only a hub of modern amenities but also enjoys close proximity to natural attractions. The nearby beach and Buffalo Creek boat ramp provide residents with a refreshing escape to nature, offering a perfect balance between modern living and the serenity of coastal landscapes.

Muirhead is a highly sought after suburb within the Northern Suburbs and is particularly popular with families and professionals.

"Family Friendly Suburb"

Lots of great parks and walking tracks. Very family orientated with free family events put on in the suburb a few times a year. People are friendly and keep an eye out for each other. Close to shops, hospital and university. A choice of good primary schools nearby. My only complaint is that majority of the houses are very close to each other and there are a lot of noisy dogs in the suburb.

"What a good spot"

To my surprise everyone living here are friendly and my kids have an absolute ball playing at all the different parks spread throughout the suburb, sometimes the suburb hosts a big screen movie under the stars in the park which my kids love going to. Various professionals living here and I have lost count of how many Doctors I have met whilst at the park. The suburb is well planned with no dead ends and lots of foot paths and all the houses are perfectly spread apart with good space between all. An abundance of schools to choose from and Casuarina square is around the corner.

"Conveniently located"

Thoroughly enjoy living here, I live on a large block with plenty of space, a good variety of sizes and shapes available depending on the budget. I do not think muirhead is aimed at affordability due to a few expensive houses. I work in town about 15min drive and my kids are at a nearby school. My house is situated close to the parks and my children spend most of the time playing there even though we have a large backyard and pool. Many families live here so very easy for the kids to make friends. The only problem so far is not all the streets are on google maps so food delivery can be a problem.

"Over priced and overrrated"

If you like some peace, privacy, relaxation and family dinners outdoors without booming music from neighbours, barking dogs running all over your property, screeching kids whose lives revolve around the garden every waking moment, and even clanging wind chimes to wake you in the middle of the night, then give this place a wide berth. High volume of rentals, both private investment and DHA, tenants do whatever they like without consequence. The lot sizes are small and the roads are narrow, creating countless parking wars between neighbours who have to park illegally on nature strips or the roads would be impassable. This is really poor planning for a new suburb. Did I mention the covenants about not being able to fully fence your yard to allow breeze ways? So neighbours have wire boundary fences and hear and see everything. Let's not forget the sewerage treatment plant which shares its odours from time to time. Rude, selfish people and no sense of community. Worst place I ever lived anywhere in Australia.

"Very nice friendly suburb close to the beach and all the shops, very child/family friendly."

Very friendly atmosphere, lots of parks for the kids to play in. The suburb has well maintained new homes and has many medical professionals like Doctors, specialists and allied health professionals due to its close proximity to the hospital. There are also Navy, Air Force, Army, Police, Federal police and Customs personnel that live in the area. A few business owners and builders live in the place . Lots of sea breezes all day long, it is also a good location for the elderly retired because of said hospital and accessibility to transport. Quiet at night, friendly neighbours, no crime. Beach is down the road as well as the boat ramp and nature reserve for those that like the outdoors, lots of sealed cycle paths within that interlink with neighbouring suburbs, there is also an offroad trail for mountain bikers in the reserve. Lots of options for schooling, many public schools in surrounding suburbs, there are 3 catholic schools near by, the university is only 4kms away so it is also perfect for families with adult children doing tertiary studies. There is a major shopping center 2 suburbs away and a smaller center in the next suburb.
