"Where Convenience and Community Thrive"

Nestled on the eastern outskirts of Geelong, Newcomb offers residents the perfect blend of suburban tranquillity and urban convenience. With its diverse amenities, strong sense of community, and proximity to Geelong's CBD, Newcomb has something to offer everyone.

One of the standout features of Newcomb is its convenience. The suburb is home to several shopping centres, including the Newcomb Central Shopping Centre, where residents can find everything from groceries to fashion to household essentials. With ample parking and a variety of stores to choose from, running errands is a breeze in Newcomb.

But it's not just the shopping that makes Newcomb special – it's also the strong sense of community that permeates the suburb. From the friendly neighbours who greet you with a smile to the local community groups and events, there's always a sense of warmth and camaraderie in the air. Whether it's joining a sports team, participating in a neighbourhood clean-up, or attending a local festival, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved and connect with others.

For families, Newcomb offers excellent educational opportunities, with several schools located within the suburb or nearby. From preschools to primary schools to secondary colleges, parents can rest assured knowing that their children's educational needs are well taken care of.

And for those who enjoy spending time outdoors, Newcomb doesn't disappoint. The suburb is home to several parks and recreational areas where residents can enjoy picnics, barbecues, and leisurely strolls. Nearby attractions like the beautiful beaches of the Bellarine Peninsula and the scenic Bellarine Rail Trail offer even more opportunities for outdoor adventure.

"Love living in Newcomb"

I moved to Newcomb six months ago from Melbourne inner west. I was a bit nervous about the move and whether I would be happy in the new location. I am really enjoying it in Newcomb. So close and convenient to everything and it a very peaceful and, friendly suburb. 5 minutes to Geelong CBD and Eastern beach. Hop on the Bellarine highway and your at Ocean Grove /Barwon Heads in 15 minutes. So happy with my new home.

"Best place to live in Geelong"

It takes me three minutes and I’m backing my boat down the boat ramp, with a five min walk I’m at the golf club ready to tee off it’s fifteen minutes to the closest beach, if u like throwing a ball for your hound it’s a light walk and your enjoying eastern gardens Newcomb is extremely underrated for the value u get, every one is polite and genuine there is no fake people

"Incredible"

I moved here from the Melbourne suburb of Bentleigh due to work in Geelong. I was not sure what to expect at first but I have grown to love the suburb after living here for almost 2 years. Conveniently close to Geelong City and the coast yet has quiet suburban feel. The neighbours are friendly and when I get out for walks around the streets I get a lot of smiles, nods and greetings as I pass other residents. A nice community feel. The area seems to be gentrifying as well with a lot of the money from East Geelong starting to spill into Newcomb. I am certainly seeing more and more professionals moving out here including a house that recently sold across the street. I am currently renting but have begun my search to buy in Newcomb!

"Great Family Suburb suitable for 8 to 80 year olds"

Real value for money, ideally located close to Geelong CBD (5 minute bus ride), well serviced by 2 primary schools, a high school, 2 shopping centres including 2 Woolworths and an Aldi, plenty of tennis courts and football ovals. Un-pretentious residents, a mix of 50's and 80's houses, and McDonalds, KFC and Hungry Jacks close by!!!!!
Don't go to supermarkets after 8.00pm though as residents from nearby Whittington tend to creep out at that time to buy cigarettes, 2 minute noodles and 30 can cubes of Tooheys Red (Their staple diet). This may be a cultural shock to some. They are easily identified though by their unwashed disheveled appearance
Everything is close at hand and it's an ideal first or retirement suburb.
