Character, the road curves up from the reserve area, which has a natural appeal, lots of trees, fresh air. Houses are what you want them to be. Different styles and sizes, the front gardens are mainly plain, back gardens are usually very nice. Many have very private swimming pools and / or well appointed entertaining areas.
Over the years many families upsize or downsize within Werrington Downs, very sought after area, that holds value well. Second generation purchases are starting to occur, however not many young couples can afford the Downs, they usually go close by to the slightly older Werrington County and Cambridge Garden areas.
I have lived in all three of these areas over the years. From Cambridge Gardens, then new home Werrington Downs, then changed circumstances, moved to Werrington County then side stepped to Werrington Downs where I currently have a very substantially renovated large family home. The entertaining area is wonderful, I can relax and read a book or sit on an upstairs balcony and enjoy the view.
Community atmosphere, an area that has respect and care.
Convenient, and just far enough away,10mins to either Penrith or St Marys for shopping, restaurants and clubs. Local shops /takewaways within walking distance either Werrington County or to Cambridge Gardens.
Good schools /preschools are also available only a few minutes away.
Good bus and trains - country/fast train services to city.
With new estates up and coming nearby with small and much less private living,this area will also have added value,to the Downs with the larger private established gardens etc.
Bad History: Some p platers speeding up the road,within minutes people came out to stop it.
We had our car broken into by some youths one evening, they stole money/papers from the car and a couple of others down the street.A neighbour from a number of houses away brought some paperwork from our car back to us, it was a discussion point for a while as it had been unheard
of for quite a few years. No damage was done to the cars and were even left locked.
