"The Suburb for all!"

This family friendly suburb is just minutes to public and private schools, Ooralea Shopping Centre, Paget Industrial Hub, the Central Queensland University, the new GP Superclinic and major roads. Ooralea has a great owner occupancy rate and filled with happy families. Being so close to Paget and the University makes it profitable for investors as well. This suburb is also very suitable for the older generation as it's central to everything you ever need including public transport facilities.

"Best place to live in Mackay"

I used to live near 4 years in Ooralea and I have a investment property there. As a person who used to live there I should say Ooralea is a unique suberb : Family friendly suberb, clean, safe, lovely neighbors and green. It has childcare centre , university, parks, shops and medical centre.
For investment purpose it’s a good choice too, great access to Paget which is an industrial area, to the highway which geos from the city to the mines and also to the airport. Lots of professionals live there because it’s close to their workplace.
Ooralea is one of safest place in Mackay with no record of flood because of hight.

"Ooralea - has it all and more coming"

We have lived in Ooralea for about 22 years having built two homes in this area. Where I live it is high and dry, no flooding issues ever, close to town, airport, racecourse, New Woollies, easy access to Mines and Paget & close to Uni. Good neighbours look after your house if you are away. Has most of what you want and everything else is close by. Walking distance to Botanic Gardens. About 10 minutes to beach.

Great for

  • High & Dry area, close to Uni, close to Botanic Gardens
  • Close to work in town
  • Excellent neighbours

Not great for

  • Major roads need to be improved but they are working on them
  • More shops, coffee shops and restaurants instead of driving 7 mins to town
  • More bike tracks and footpaths
