Reviews of Orloff Court, Burwood East
"Friendly neighbourhood a stone’s throw away from greenery"
I’ve lived in this Court for over a decade now. It’s a great neighbourhood for young couples and families. Short walk to parklands and Woolworths. Easy walk to buses, trams and a short drive to the train network. The neighbours are friendly and love to have a chat. It’s neat, tidy and quiet. Quiet a few new houses going up too which gives the court a rejuvenated feel.
I’ve always enjoyed my walks and jogs with my dogs down to Damper Creek reserve. When I was amongst the trees, I felt as if I wasn’t in the city anymore. Instead I felt like I was in a small country town and felt instantly relaxed and recharged after a tiring week at work.
The local fish and chips shop round the corner is excellent too. They have the best chips and scallops. Shopping-wise the greengrocer’s have many fresh fruit and veg specials and I’m a fan of Chinese cuisine so the Chinese grocery store is often an after work stop-over for me. The local cafe’s coffee are a hit with the locals too. Can’t go past the cold meats at the deli.
I chose to live in this area because it’s in the school zone to ensure my kids will get into one of the best schools around the area.
