"Nice high elevation with river and district view"
Recently moved here, from the busy city living. For me, I am loving the areas, we can see the river and the district view from our balcony. Definitely suit my lifestyle and taste :)
Our neighbour was so nice and welcoming, when we moved in - so considerate..

"unexpected"
Initially planned to buy an investment property around the area, however fell in love with the area. Love how peaceful and tranquil the area is. Being a Surgeon, it's important to have a clear state of mind. Every morning I'd meditate in my balcony while waiting for the sunrise and birds chirping and singing.

"It's beautiful, with an abundance of trees and greenery"
There's a lot to love about Padstow Heights. It's beautiful, with an abundance of trees and greenery. I'm super comfortable here. In the weekend my me and my family often go to Westfield Hurtsville which is only around 10-15mins drive or Westfield Miranda (the drive to Miranda is absolutely beautiful as you will be crossing bridges and rivers! It feels like a road-trip.
My neighbour is absolutely friendly and nice people.

Rentals in Padstow Heights
"nature lover!"
i love walking in the nature and this suburb provides just that - without being too far from the city where I work. I live in the valley road and it's 5 minute walk to Padstow Heights reserve, which is a bush with the beautiful salt pan creek and georges river and you can see neighbouring lugarno and peakhurst heights suburbs accross the rivers. The area feels like vacation places :D
This really helped the kids staying adventurous during the lockdown, they keep asking to walk out everyday! Cant be more grateful moving here!

"grew up in this place"
I grew up in the area before moving out a few years ago with my partner to the northwest area. My parents still live here and we want to purchase a house in the same area. I personally like this area better than the northwest, but that's personal opinion.
We bid in for some of the properties but missing out/get outbid.
As hazelnut pointed in the comment, the prices skyrocketed in padstow heights. A property was sold for $1.5m in mid april... In less than 4 months, a similar property with exactly same size right next to to it was sold for almost $1.8m in August... I have been eyeing on neighbouring suburbs and they aren't performing as well.

"Amazing suburb with high elevation"
My family and I recently moved to Padstow Heights. We really love the area. We do our regular walk around the suburbs and the walking trails. Walking distance/close to the Georges River which the kids love! All the properties in the area are well taken care of as others have said.

"Serene and Tranquil and Beautiful Suburb!"
The suburb is a small pocket and is very quiet in comparison to the surrounding suburbs. We live in a cul-de-sac street and is very serene and tranquil - you can hear bird chirping and trees blown by the wind.
We bought a house in early 2021 and prices have risen up significantly (as of most places). But the jump was greater in comparison to surrounding suburbs (Revesby, Padstow, Hurtsville, Riverwood, Picnic Point, etc).
My speculation is because there is a market of people wanting a quiet and peaceful suburb. With more work-from-home arrangement, the demands seems to get higher.
Can see lots of kids on the street suggesting safe place. I do not have kids yet, but the public school appears to have a good reputation.

"A Nice Little Suburb"
Currently live in Padstow Heights. The suburb is small and compact, being close to the cultural and shopping areas of Bankstown and Hurstville, and within minutes from the M2 and M5. Only issues are the few bus routes and fair distance from Padstow/Revesby train station. However, crime rate is practically nil, and the suburb is nice and green. House prices aren't too bad either!

"Wake up to the sound of kookaburras...and the occasional boat"
Padstow Heights is a great place to live - mostly a leafy green neighbourhood with many of the properties having either district views / bush views / water views and some waterfront properties in Villiers Road and Raftree Street. Personally, I bought in as, although somewhat cheaper than other suburbs along the northern side of the Georges River, ie Lugarno and Oatley, Padstow heights offered the same 'feel'. It also offers the convenience of being quite close to the M2 and also ~ 10 minutes to either Hurstville or Bansktown shopping centres.
Great for
- Close to nature
- Family living
- Waterfront living
Not great for
- Lack of public Transport
