"Convenient with nice for family feel"

Love this place to live with good bus access. Even close by is tram and train. Easy drive in morning just going Marion road and anzac highway to city.
Flinders University and Hospital near. Everything near in this location. We built our home here and are very happy. Already gone up in market.

"Best location"

We have been renting in this suburb for almost 4 years and are hoping to buy here or in nearby Morphettville when more land opens up. Unfortunately for us prices are rising. This area is great. 10 minutes from town, close to trams, trains, 5 minutes to the beach, close to major hospital, close to Marion, and not far from the hills, king william rd etc. It's rapidly on the rise as old housing trust is boarded up and new homes built. Lots of parks and upgrades due to the swim centre. Close to loads of good schools. Having previously lived down south I must say that location is everything! Nowhere is far away. Love it here and so badly want a new house here one day soon.

"A place on the move."

A quiet suburb undergoing a strong redevelopment.
The tiny suburb is broken into two parts the more affluent side everything south of nilpena ave is mostly new privately owned homes and on the north side there are a lots of great established homes with rental and government/charity owned homes (eaisly identified by the fences, gov plated vecheles identical gardens etc.
Parkholme is the suburb before the traffic backs up on Marion road heading south and has everything including playgrounds on every avenue and more.
Please don't buy or move here it is awesome but it's a secret and we don't want you to know. ;)

Great for

  • Public pool
  • Heaps of playgrounds
  • Beautiful, clean, safe, quiet, and friendly suburb.
  • Close to shops
  • Public Transport

Not great for

  • No NBN available.

"An exotic pocket close to the city"

We have 2 properties in this area and are looking to buy the third one as they make excellent investment in terms of real estate growth. Housing is expensive compared to nearby suburbs but you get what you pay for. It is a relatively affluent suburb with access to the Park Holme shopping center, and good public transport access, but at the same time have quiet inner roads that are wide. In addition, the suburb belongs to the Marion council, which is probably the largest and the best in greater Adelaide region.

Great for

  • Beautiful, clean, safe, quiet, and friendly suburb.
  • Close to shops
  • Public Transport

"Close to city, affordable but high crime area"

20 minutes to the city, tram and buses close by. Eating out options are good. Generally quiet however a lot of hoons racing there cars in the street. Not a safe area. We've had our car broken into and vandalised on two separate occasions and the next door neighbours house was broken into. Police said the area is a high crime area.

Great for

  • Public Transport
  • Close to shops

Break-ins was a thing of the past. Break-ins are common in all high-profile or wealthy neighborhoods. Thieves come from other areas. People dont rob in their neighborhood :).
A lot of robberies happen in places like Glenelg, Burnside, Hazelwood park etc... that doesnt make them unsafe or bad suburbs. It simply means that they are rich!

"Rapid capital growth"

Bureau of statistics figures just released for the second quarter of 2010 indicate that Park Holme experienced excellent growth from the same time in 2009. The median price forsecond quarter of 2009 was $344,000 and has risen sharply to $436,500 for the second quarter of 2010. The number of sales in the second quarter of 2009 were 7 versus 20 in the quarter just past. I take this as further evidence of the evolution of Park Holme from a sleeping suburb in to a thriving, developing spot with all of the advantages of a central location providing access to both the city and the coast.

"Beautifully positioned."

Beautifully positioned for easy access to the city, Glenelg and the coast, Park Holme has always been a tightly held suburb.
Over the last few years, Park Holme has visibly reinvented itself. Large blocks & suitable zoning have seen luxury courtyard homes proliferate in the area. According to the latest available statistics, the average age in Park Holme is 20-29 reflecting the suburbs attractiveness & affordability for younger buyers looking for a suburb offering a quality lifestyle just 30 minutes from anything.

"A great family location"

It's 10 mins from just about everything, it's 10min drive to Marion Shop'n cnt, 10mins walk to the tram stop, 10 min drive to Glenelg & surrounding beaches, it's 10 min drive to the city (not in peak hour), it's 10 min drive to Blackwood & the hills.
Teenagers don't have to be driven everywhere there's the buses, train & tram to access via a quick walk in any direction. The Marion Swimming Pool is centrally located on Oaklands Rd & Hendrie St, there's great parks all around the suburb and plenty of great schools all within a 10min drive, Sacred Heart, Immanual & Hamilton to name a few.
I'd never live in the hills again!!

"Good place to rent and relatively quiet"

Park Holme is a nice suburb on the Adelaide Plains but it is not quite as good as some of the surrounding suburbs.

There is a good mix of housing on very large blocks, but the older houses are not as well maintained on a number of streets. The new houses are nice and have wonderfully deep blocks as they are often places on split blocks.

Public transport to the city is fantastic with a number of buses running along Marion Road. Some of these services are limited stop servies making the trips extremely fast. The services run regularly and on time. The Train and the Tram are also not far away. The train is within walking distance but the tram may require a connecting bus.

Getting to the city by car is easy as you like, straight up Marion road onto Anzac highway.

There are a number of good quality shops close by and Marion is very close. This makes shopping easy without having to go too far.

It is not far from some great beaches and it is a short trip to the airport and Glenelg. On the whole it would make a great investment.
