Pearce, ACT 2607

I lived in Pearce for many years and loved it. It's a great suburb and close to many things. Very good schools (both private and public) in the suburb and also some great local restaurants at the Pearce shops. Lovely big ovals and walking tracks, and beautiful views and walks up Mt Taylor. Would recommend for families with children.

Pearce is located 10 kms south west of Canberra. The Mount Taylor nature reserve is a great place to explore. Climb the fire trails to the peak. It is a leisurely walk that can be enjoyed by everyone from the very young to the very old. It has now been partially sealed to make it safer for both mountain bike riders and walkers alike. When you reach the top you have a panoramic view of both Tuggeranong and Woden. There are a number of schools in the suburb as well as a local shopping centre and oval. When here you feel that you are close to everthing. It has a real community feel and neighbours are great. It is certainly a great place to raise a family.
