Peerless Avenue, Mermaid Beach, QLD 4218

I love this street not far from broady and only footsteps to the surf. Mermaid beach is magical!

I used to live here. I only moved away because we wanted to buy our first property and we simply couldn't afford anything in the area. For example, our 30 year old apartment we'd rented for 5 years (started on $285 a week) was asking half a million dollars. Our budget just couldn't do it.

This street is nice and quiet. You can't hear the highway at all till you get about 5 houses off it (even when walking from the highway into the street, as soon as you get into it, the noise level drops dramatically).

We used to live at the beach end. 5 doors from the Hedges Ave and the sand. Every Friday evening I'd take a gorgeous, relaxing walk to Broadbeach where I'd meet my partner for dinner at one of the many restaurants there. I would alternate between walking through the park, along the beach, along Old Burleigh Road, or Surf Parade. It's only 10 minutes.

It's also only 10 minutes walk in the other direction to Pacific Fair, which is amazingly handy for not only shopping but also public transport, since it's a bus depot (of sorts). Also, it's a 20 second-2 minute walk to the highway (depending what end of the street you live), which is also good for the buses.

I would move back here in a SECOND if I could.

Mermaid Beach is by far one of the nicest and most expensive beachside suburbs on the Gold Coast. Or is it? I think you will find that prices are fairly reasonable when you compare it to other suburbs.

With multi multi million dollar beach front and beach front mansion in this suburb you best bet is to grab the cheapest house in the area. Why spend $2M when you can spend $1M and still make similar if not more of a return. Land is what appreciates not the building itself.

Peerless avenue being so close to Broadbeach is in particular one of my favourite streets in Mermaid Beach for price value. Look online in my opinion there are homes at good prices listed in this street today!

Visited the street for a long weekend - VERY close to the beach (2 min walk) and plenty of shops - great little spot to hang in Surfers if you dont want to be right smack bang in the middle of the Main Beach chaos

We recently returned from a trip to the Gold Coast where we stayed at Montego Sands on Peerless Ave in Mermaid Beach. The street was very quiet even though it is bracketed the Gold Coast Highway to the West and Hedges Ave (a busy one-way street heading north up the coast). As with most of the streets on the Gold Coast it's a very quick walk up to the beach (2 minutes at most) but you also have the advantage of the shops along the Gold Coast Highway (IGA supermarket, bottle shops etc.) and just over the Highway is Pacific Fair.
