"We Love Pemberton!"

I have lived in Pemberton for 7 years and have to say that this little place is simply heaven! The people, the scenery, the welcoming community make this a really beautiful place to live. We have 2 fantastic schools just around the corner, mountain biking trails & hiking trails on your doorstep and some amazing little wineries and cafes all through the area. I cannot list it all as there is so much for all ages to do. I wouldnt want to live anywhere else...

"Amazing Pemberton"

Pemberton is an amazing place to live, fantastic community, wonderful nature on your doorstep, great fresh food which is show cased in the cafes and wineries and available on roadside stalls and local shops. There are plenty of walk trails and world class mountain bike trails. There’s something for everyone plus you get the bonus of ‘country’ hospitality and living.

"Great country town with a village atmosphere"

I have lived and worked in Pemberton since 2007. It’s a friendly close-knit town with a village feel, making it a great place to bring up kids. We have two schools and it’s not uncommon to see kids walking or cycling to school given the safe environment that we live in.
Equally if you are looking for somewhere to retire to you would be hard pressed to find a better place in the Southwest of WA where you can take it easy and watch life go by a gentle pace.
The main Street has changed in the past few years with trendy Cafés, wine bar, whiskey bar as well as our traditional pub. Venture just outside of town and enjoy the wineries and most of all our majestic Karri Forests. Plenty of trails by foot, horse or mountain bike, in fact there is a world class mountain bike trail park. What’s not too like about Pemberton.
Always happy to answer any questions about Pemberton if you are thinking of moving here.

"The best place in the South West"

In the heart of the Southern Forests, Pemberton is a place where to raise your family in peace and safety whilst being able to teach them about the wonders of nature first hand. For sure, this may not be the town for everyone - if nightclubs are your thing then you may wish to live elsewhere! Overall, however, Pemberton is a great place to live a stress-free life and remove yourself from the some of the madness of contemporary western society.

"A great place to live or visit"

A sparkling town with an abundance of natural wonders at close hand. Good schools, a strong sense of community and a place to escape the insanity that most Australians have to contend with. The town is not for everyone, however. Nightlife is pretty much non-existent and the shopping options are not extensive. But if that's what I had wanted, I would be living somwhere like Morley or Clarkson!

"Wonderful place to live, raise a family, and try something new... the opportunities are endless."

Pemberton has a wonderful community and the schools are excellent. Although there is a district high school, students do have to travel to Manjimup to complete secondary school - which is around 25 min travel away. Manjimup SHS has consistently been in the top 20 schools in the state for the last 10 years so that is not a hardship.
The beauty about Pemberton is that there is a lot of opportunity to create a new business for yourself - especially now as there is an anticipation of change within the town... The main street of town has just been upgraded, with underground power and new paving and wider footpaths - so it is an exciting time for the town - our local IGA has more than doubled in size and have a great range of items and excellent fresh produce.
The town is hilly - so be aware of that - I believe we must have the healthiest retirees in the state living here :o) But the community is very diverse with a large number of families, singles and couples of all ages living in the town and surrounding areas.
The local activities include bowls, football, soccer, squash, golf, boxersize etc etc.
We also have a new Chamber of Commerce & industry in the town - see www.pemberton.org.au for more info on joining.
The tourism industry here is huge - considering how small our population is (currently - set to grow!) we do a really good job!
Come and visit.

"Growing town with moderate house prices."

Pemberton is only a 4 hour drive south of Perth and in “Karri Country”. Here the Karri tree “Eucalyptus Diversicolor” is found and it is the largest tree on earth. The main industry here is still timber and farming although the wine industry now supports many people, with trades and retail as well. Pemberton is slightly inland with a 57 km drive to the coast (shorter if you have a 4WD). The town has a Post office, hardware store, supermarket, specialty shops and a general store but for larger purchases Manjimup is only a 25 km drive and offers good shopping with larger department stores. Pemberton has a state school which caters for student from Kindy right through to year 10 as well as a catholic school and a Telecentre with Tafe facilities. There is a medical centre and a relatively new hospital with up to date equipment. Sport is a big pass time here with many playing fields for different sports and there is a heated swimming pool in Manjimup. There are a number of cafes, takeaway food outlets and several restaurants in town as well as wineries to visit. Real estate prices are moderate so there are often good bargains but with growing tourism prices are set in increase.
