Reviews of Point Frederick, NSW

"A wonderful suburb by the water with great neighbours"

I live in Point Frederick, I love walking my dogs to the park and around the streets in the morning before going to work in East Gosford. If I'm ever late to work it's because I've been chatting for too long to one of my neighbours. It is a nice, central location and is only a short drive to the highway, beaches and plenty of shopping centres. The Gosford sailing club is in Pt Frederick and it's a great place to have dinner or lunch.

"Great Lifestyle by the water"

Point Frederick is one of Central Coast exclusive areas which features some of the best homes on the coast. The area is surrounded by Brisbane Water and has some beautiful new & older waterfront homes, without the Sydney price tag. The area is a small little community with only around 900 dwellings. It is an easy walk to the waterfront where you can go and enjoy a nice meal at Gosford sailing club while watching the sea plane land. You are only a short walk also to the CBD, Gosford stadium but still far enough to enjoy the location. The waterfront is busy on weekends as it has great park lands and bbq facilities to enjoy with the family.

Great for

  • Gosford sailing club
  • Walking distance to CBD
  • Beautiful exclusive homes
  • Water views

"Over-priced property"

Often described as the Vaucluse of the Central Coast, it is really an enclave of overpriced property. Waterfronts here often sell for the price of waterfronts in Sydney, meaning that we are headed for a huge price correction. There is no effective transport if you do not have access to a car I bought a house here about two years ago and eggs have been thrown at it regularly. There is a park at the end of the street which is a well known gay beat, attracting cars and hooligans at all ours.

Great for

  • Water views

Not great for

  • Regular traffic
  • Overpriced

"The best suburb on the Central Coast!"

If you are looking for the most prestige suburb on the coast then this is it. Point Frederick has many large exclusive homes off the leafy quiet streets. As the point has water on both sides most of the homes have extensive water views. The western side of the point has deep waterfronts, great for large boats. There are also a few houses with huge blocks of land too.
East Gosford shops are just up the road with a great mix of boutiques and great food. It is a 10min drive to Avoca or Terrigal beaches and also a 5min drive to the F3 freeway.
