Reviews of Point Piper, NSW

"Caddyshack yacht club members only"

Most folk living here are White Social Climbers with capitals W S and C. It is also full of the insecure rich. The comfortable decent and well balanced rich live elsewhere. The Yacht Club called after an junior english royal is a private club (membership by invitation) does not accept jews catholics blacks arabs or asians, very much like the royal golf club down the road. Non white Non lodge anglos who live here are lovely but DO NOT socialise with the Charity Ballers. The other yacht club is is also quite bleachy (think caddyshack) but is far less fussy about your source of income. They have sought to become a gated community in the past, many locals supported the concept as long as the rest of sydney got a key to keep them locked in. "Snobbish but great if you got the money"

I am an Iranian-Australian and have been living in this suburb for 20 years. Me and my husband invested our way up and we were fortunate enough to buy a water view home. I have to say, the scenery is great, but the snobby neighbours ruin it. They were racist to us when we moved and always wanted to make us the inferior one. As soon as we bought new sports cars, they bought new ones, as soon as we went on vacation, they did too. However, one day, I was laughing so hard and ridiculed those criminals. Last year, we watched as they were thrown in police cars as they were suspected of money laundering and bribery. Our new neighbour is not too bad. We love this suburb and will always love it here, but is important not to be enemies with ANYONE here.

Sport and Recreation

Being a suburb next to the water there are a variety of parks & beaches nearby with a tennis club down the road in Rose Bay

"Once of the most prestigious suburbs in Sydney"

Point Piper is the playground for the rich and is a great vantage point for NYE fireworks. It has two yacht clubs as many of the locals own boats. It is also central to Double Bay and Rose Bay shops. A fabulous place to be.
