"Just central to everywhere!"

Reedy Creek is a popular area just a few minutes’ drive to Mudgeeraba and Robina and with easy access to the M1 Motorway. It has good public transport with a bus service and Varsity Railway station. It is also close to Varsity Lakes and Burleigh Heads on the east side of the M1 Motorway and about a 10-minute drive to Burleigh beach.
Residents say they love its safe, friendly neighbourhood and convenience – with its own major supermarket chain shopping centre.
Next door is fantastic family-friendly Kingsmore Park which offers large open space with walking trails, BBQ facilities, picnic tables and three playgrounds.
A big drawcard for families is a number of high-quality private colleges located in Reedy Creek (Kings, Gold Coast Christian & Hillcrest) together with primary and secondary schools & Bond University just a 5-minute drive away in Mudgeeraba and Robina.

"A suburb close to everything in a bush setting"

Reedy Creek is west of the M1 near Burleigh and Varsity Lakes. Most of the suburb is made up of 3 housing estates that all join each other. The houses tend to be larger and block sizes tend to be larger than most new estates.

It's very convenient to Burleigh heads, Varsity and Robina and has an direct easy access to the M1, Varsity train station is a 5 minute drive away, trains run every 15 minutes to Brisbane during peak times.

The suburb has 3 private colleges, 2 of which have high enrolment numbers and can cause heavy traffic around school drop off times. 2 of the Christian schools are among some of the highest rating schools on the Gold Coast. The state school is Clover Hill at Mudgeeraba that is closed for enrolments for anyone out of catchment and has a good reputation.

The streets of the new estates are clean, and have great street appeal. The suburb has a higher percentage of owner occupiers than the Gold Coast average, and this includes the older town houses that surround the private schools that tend to have higher renters than the free standing houses

Cons are the traffic around school drop off (has got much better over the years with new roads opening)

There is no state high school close

The M1 needs an urgent upgrade to 3 lanes, the highway doesn't flow well until Mudgeeraba

Crime seems very low and there is limited hooning in the area, most people have pride living here

Great for

  • Central to everywhere, with good public transport.
  • Schools, medical, shopping and great access to everything else.
  • Green and close to nature.
  • Safe friendly neighbourhood

Not great for

  • M1 needs upgrading
  • Driving in the suburb at school times. For a short period twice a day, traffic is shocking.

"Just about everything"

A terrific little suburb that's about eight minutes from Burleigh beach (I ride my bike there in about 20 minutes for a run and a dip), five minutes from Robina Town Centre, five minutes from Stocklands and has it's own, brand new, Woolworths shopping centre. The suburb has a range of living options from acre size parkland estates, some with stunning views of the coast, to high density town house living. Reedy Creek has a number of high quality private Christian colleges and is only a short distance to Mudgeeraba and Robina primary and secondary schools and Bond University. I know of at least one local child care centre.
Residents are obviously proud of their neighborhood as all the houses are well maintained, clean and neat, though they do seem to like their privacy. People are friendly but they do tend to keep to themselves.
It is a a very quiet suburb in close proximity to natural bushland and a large, local park. In the parkland estates it isn't unusual to wander out in the morning to see black face wallabies in your yard and at night find possums in your trees. Many of the residents take advantage of the extra space and keep chooks and raise terrific vegetable gardens and fruit trees (though watch out for those possums!). The creek itself lies within a protected wildlife corridor as the area is home to flocks of black cockatoos. The creek handles our heavy Queensland rain without a problem and drains excess water very quickly. Flooding hasn't been a issue in the five years I've lived in the area and I back straight onto the creek.
The suburb is going from strength to strength. Along with a brand new Woolworths (opened early 2012), Varsity Train Station, a new bulk-billing doctors surgery and pharmacy the area also has a number of small take away restaurants.
Not only is there a local train station but there is also a frequently running bus service out to Robina Town Centre. The bus includes a stop at the train station and also takes in part of Mudgeeraba.
Internet access is ADSL only in the estate areas and mobile phone coverage is good for most providers.
In summary, Reedy Creek is a great place to live, convenient to everywhere and would suit just about anyone after a bit of green space and a safe, family environment.

Great for

  • Green and close to nature.
  • Central to everywhere, with good public transport.
  • Schools, medical, shopping and great access to everything else.

Not great for

  • Internet access isn't great in some areas.
  • No local gym.
  • Driving in the suburb at school times. For a short period twice a day, traffic is shocking.

"residential perfection- high standard of presentation"

A fantastic location where you can see the residents take pride in their homes and suburb as a whole. The beautiful presented streets and established gardens make this suburb well worth a look in considering top locations on the Gold Coast to live. Having just purchased here in the last week I can honestly say this suburb ticks all the boxes. With beautiful courts and elevated properties this suburb offers everyone living there a fantastic quality of life with all major facilities on it's doorstep. If you want a top rate area to live on the Gold Coast don't waste your time driving around all over the coast, head to Reedy Creek first and start living the lifestyle.
