"Nightmare to Find house on rent."

You’ll be super lucky to have house on rent if you are an immigrant. I got rejections for all the properties I have applied for (14 properties) , even I offered 3 months rent upfront for all the properties . We are a couple and earning $160000/year . At the time of inspection everybody look at you like you are from different planet including property managers. You’ll have a feeling that they don’t want you to be there.

"Small town has its ups and downs"

I've lived here in Rosebud for 5 years it's a nice little town but can be a bit dangerous there has been 4 or 5 shootings that I've heard about an off duty ambulance woman got stabbed putting her baby in the car after getting dinner and ive heard of a few other stabbings but overall it's a nice town to me cause I can hold my own and protect mine if you are weak hearted you best stay away from here

"Rose Bud"

Rosebud is a wonderful place to raise a young family. Plenty of primary and secondary schools, wonderful Plaza with Target and Kmart, fantastic strip shopping with great coffee shops, delis, butchers, clothes shops, bars, the Rosebud Hotel and the Rosebud Pier and state of the art Playground. 2 x Woolies, Coles. Wonderful position, quick drive to Mornington or Sorrento and everything in between like Dromana (phwoar the new restaurants there are A.m.a.z.i.n.g) and Red Hill as you are right in the middle. Check out The Pier, Rosebud Hotel, Jetty Cafe, Bang Bang Pizza, The Milbri, Zarb & Ru. live in The Avenues and it is silent at night and you can leave the car at home and walk everywhere, shops and beach 500m away! Full of retirees, young families making the move and holiday houses that are mostly empty. We have Magpies warble at our door, a view to Mt Arthur and 500m to the beach, the shops, great doctors, a Hospital around the corner. Everything you need!! And the Sea, the beautiful outstretching sea that turns a million colours and a million moods every day of the year.

Rentals in Rosebud

"Up and coming Rosebud"

Rosebud is enjoying a new era of popularity in the real estate market. It’s a vibrant town, just past McCrea with excellent infrastructure for families and downsizers. The median house price sits at $603,000, up from $580,000 on the same time last year. Older styled historical beach shacks are making way for new restorations as more sea changers choose the peninsula as their enduring home.

Rosebud shops are filled with brand supermarkets, Rosebud Secondary School is a thriving community, primary schools are well regarded and bus routes up and down the peninsula allows for easy access to Mornington and Frankston or south to Sorrento and Portsea.

A recent change to planning laws is having an impact on new development, which is not such a bad thing. Reducing the footprint of small blocks used as dual occupancy, by increasing the size to a minimum of 450sqm with a reserve of 35% garden is a long-term strategy maintaining the aesthetic quality of this up and coming location.

"Has a great range of new and old property for sale now"

It's a growing community, the infrastructure is set, the freeways are all built, and the beaches are clean. Its a great place to move to, away from the city.

"Overpriced"

The cost of rental properties are ridiculous. An associate rents brand new apartment in carrum downs for the same that I pay for an unrenivated house built in 1962. Traffic is horrendous over summer do to point Nepean road going to 1 lane after capel sands. Extremely poor public transport to frankston takes 1.5 hours from rosebud on the slow bus. On the up side very safe, wonderful residents, businesses that know you by name. Exellent resources for people that are doing it hard. Some great nursing homes, lovely beaches but overpriced restaurants. Thumbs up for the nab, Danny wongs chemist and the local aldis in rosebud.

"Rosebud South on the Mornington Peninsula"

Rosebud South is on the hill - going up Waterfall Gully Road, beautiful peaceful environment. Air extremely clean, and the birds here are magical - beautiful Rosella of many colours, pink and grey birds, great magpies all make the area a magical place. Houses us here are all well cared for and I must say that everyone making sure that there properties are kept looking magical. Bus goes along Goolgowie Street and down the Waterfall Gully Road so great area to get on a bus and travel down to Dromana or to shops. Shire has a Dial a bus program that goes around here every Tuesday for $1.00 that takes people to the shops ot to their appointments - great service. Mornington Peninsula Shire are busy making sure that the roads and footpaths are accessible for everyone. Beach close by and so are the great eating areas as well as the lovely Red Hill and Main Ridge wineries. Great place to rear your children and to have a great place to live, close to main areas to get you into the city.

"Layback lifestyle - slower pace of life than city living"

Still affordable but when Frankston bypass is complete Rosebud will be only an hour to the city - six super-markets within 2Klm indicates future growth - hope it does not spoil layback lifestyle.

"Great Place to live -just a pity the price of house's lease's have gone trough the roof"

After living in Rosebud for the last 8 yrs I find it a great place to live and fantastic place for my kids to grow up in.

The only thing wrong now is the large increase in rental price in the last 12 months. As a single working father is is now almost impossible to find a decent 3 bedroom property in Rosebud within a resonable price range. Now rent takes more than 1/2 my weekly wage. With school expences and the increases in utillites there is getting less and less money left per week for the basic food and day to day reqirements.

With the increase in the last 2 years of the Rosebud property Values this seems to have pushed the up the price of rentals. It's just a shame that the average wage has not followed the trend and increased as well.

"Scenic town with wineries, golf clubs, back and front beaches and friendly locals"

Our title nearly says it all! Great friendly people with that beautiful "country" vibe. Some of the best beaches in Australia, front bay beaches and beautiful coastal back beaches, amazing golf clubs, one of the best panaromic views in Australia. Awesome views of the Mornington Peninsula that stretch far across to Portsea, Queenscliff and across to Melbourne. Fantastic walking tracks and bike trails. "Great place to get into the peninsula market"

Rosebud has been a fantastic first home for us. There is a great infrastructure, with lots of facilitities such as public transport, shopping centres and the schools. Most importantly, where else could you afford a house this close to the beach?

"Idyllic seaside town"

An idyllic seaside town based south east of Melbourne, Rosebud is as pretty a town as it sounds. The second largest town on the Mornington Peninsula, Rosebud is home to about 12,000 people. The area plays host to a handful of primary and secondary schools, making it an ideal location for families. As it is a quiet town it would also suit retirees seeking an affluent seaside lifestyle. The town’s sandy beaches, various local shops and takeaway outlets provide all the necessities for local residents as well as the thousands of tourists that visit the area every year. A number of golf courses also exist in Rosebud for those seeking local sporting activities.
