Nice, beautiful place can’t believe houses, very expensive is it toorak or Rowville ?

Spacious and younger homes complimented by plentiful amenities making Rowville a desirable suburb, especially for families looking to upsize. Four primary schools and two secondary colleges serve the suburb of Rowville and Monash University is only a short drive away. Residents are spoilt for choice with three shopping precincts in the west, north and south, plus corner milk bar stores still operating. The largest shopping precinct is Stud Park, followed by Wellington Village and Rowville Lakes shopping centres. For those wanting more variety, a quick drive reaches the newly renovated Westfield Knox and The Glen shopping centre. Rowville has modern amenities, ample parkland and lakes and sports clubs that offer football, cricket, soccer, basketball, netball and athletics. There's also a Little Athletics, Racing and Bowls Club, and Golfers can have a game at Kingston Links or Tirhatuan Park Golf Clubs. With a friendly suburban feel, this is a wonderful place to live!

Rowville is such a stress free suburb, easy access in and out of the city, lots of public transport around, friendly people, great food and business areas. It has all you could possibly want!

Rowville Primary School has been fantastic for our family. Lots of friendships made with mostly lovely people. Great parks (now enclosed dog off leash parks as well) local shopping centre Wellington Village very good. Stud park shopping centre a little larger and good for local shopping. Biggest centre near would be Knox and Waverley Gardens. Disappointing we still don’t have tram or train stations but of course buses are around and very helpful. Good location to go to the beach 40 min drive approx. Dandenong Ranges 15 min drive to the entrance. CBD 50 min approx drive. Very friendly people, safe and attractive area to live. Highly recommended.

I moved from FTG to Rowville and absolutely love it. I would say it is definitely one of the nicest suburbs in knox. Great parks, clean, safe. A lot of first home buyer couples have also purchase in the area. There is also mass development with townhouses and apartments going up across from Stud Park, which attract young couples and first home buyers. So many great cafes, Stud Park has everything you need also. The common theme of limited public transport is true, but that doesn’t bother me at all. FTG and Boronia station attract strange people and I’d prefer to live in a nicer suburb without a station than with a station and a mix of unique characters.

Rowville used to be a great area, but as of recent I’ve only heard of crime that’s been happening. Break ins, theft, car theft and fires, vandalism, hit and runs, the list is truly endless. Property prices are outrageously high for what they are, you’d think we were in Toorak! Any young person wanting to access the market isn’t gonna find decently prices property in this area.

Access to adequate public transport is abysmal, with only bus services available. Nearest train stations include Glen Waverley, however it is not easy to get to, especially in traffic. Stud Road and Wellington Road have faults in this area with traffic at a standstill regularly. Burnouts are common, and I’ve almost had someone spin their car straight into mine before, and they just laughed it off. Cars are a necessity in the area, due to this severe lack of accessible public transportation, and this takes up space on the extremely narrow streets available to us, that obviously weren’t thought out in original planning.

Secondary Schools are mediocre, with Rowville Secondary having a bad reputation. Wheelers Hill Secondary is close but traffic makes the relatively short distance a disaster. Would not recommend Wheelers regardless as I went there and I have to say they cared more about socks and televisions than they did about supporting their students and providing quality education. Probably doesn’t even matter, because they’ve said multiple times that Rowville is out of range anyway. Good thing that, as they don’t have sufficient facilities for the amount of students they do have let alone any more. Primary schools are okay, with a multitude of options in the area.

On top of roads having high traffic, they desperately needed resurfacing, which has just recently been done after several years. Could still be better though with uneven surfaces throughout the suburb. Some residential streets have poor visibility, especially at round-a-bouts, where hedges and bushes are over grown and impairs vision of oncoming traffic. Council needs to stop planting trees close to the roads, because whilst they might be fine now, in years to come when they are grown, they will tear up the roads and footpath and make it dangerous for people to walk or drive within the community.

Stud Park and Wellington Village are close, and quite accessible, as is Rowville Lakes, however rent prices appear to be astronomically high at Stud Park. With all the shops closing down, I can imagine soon all that will be left will be supermarkets and high rise apartment blocks. Knox is in the same boat, so soon we’ll have limited access to any close shopping facility.

Retirement facilities in the area are quite good, with many options available both in, and just outside the suburb. So I guess my one recommendation would be for retirees to move here.

Rowville has some nice houses, but is now unaffordable for the average buyer.
Noble Park North is a safe, family friendly suburb with M1 and M3 freeways, Waverley Gardens Shopping Centre and excellent schools. Ignore the "Noble Park" part of the title, this area is going to boom once people realise the potential. Excellent public transport. If you are looking at Rowville as an option, the smart & savvy buyer should strongly consider looking next door!

My parents moved to Rowville when I was 8. Now as an adult I decided to buy in it as well. I feel pretty safe here and there’s a lot of sports for the kids. Good suburb to live in. However public transport falls short with a lot of people either driving up to Huntingdale or FTG station to get into the the city.

I live in Rowville and I love it. It is so close to supermarkets and a short drive to Eastlink, Westfield Knox and has so many parks which is important as I have a puppy who just loves to run around.

There's many restaurants and cafes and all have their own perks and great menus.

The only downside is there is no train station, however there are plenty of buses that run through the area which will get you to one in no time.

If moving to Rowville you’ll need a nice car as you will be spending a lot of time in it! No public transport what so ever. No decent restaurants or schools. I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone who enjoys some culture!

Lived in Rowville and still regret it.

No public transport, traffic chaos caused by bogan drivers and a toffee nose community divided at every bend. Expect rude!

The wildlife is nice.

I have lived in Rowville for the past 14 years and would find it very difficult to move to any other suburb. I have always felt safe living in Rowville and find that the residents of this suburb take a lot of pride in the presentation of their homes and gardens, which creates a clean and pleasant looking environment. Amongst the locals you will find young families, professionals, singles and retirees. It is quite a multicultural suburb with more Chinese and Indian cultures buying into the area.
There are many parks to explore and the restaurants and cafes are bursting at the seams.
Stud Park shopping centre is very convenient as is Wellington Village. The schools in the area have also improved immensely and are now quite highly ranked!!
The new structure of Rowville Secondary College has really elevated the schools academic results.
They offer a Maths and Science Academy, a Sports Academy, a Performing Arts academy and a General Excellence Academy spread over two seperate campuses!!!
I know of people which have pulled their children out of private schools and have sent them to Rowville Secondary College and are very happy with the school and the results achieved. The schools facilities are of very high standard and they even have their very own aquatic centre, which is very rare to see in any government school!!
The location I find is very convenient especially since the Eastlink has opened as I can make it to Glen Waverley Station within 8-10 minutes. Rowville is close enough to the CBD, but also within close proximity to the Dandenongs and the beach (20 min drive via the Eastlink). If I had to fault Rowville I would say that the suburb is missing a train station to accomodate for this large suburb. However with Glen Waverley Station not too far away, so it's not too inconvenient!!
The housing in Rowville is no longer affordable for first home buyers or new families starting out which is sad as it has been such a wonderful suburb to bring my children up in. With our neighboring suburbs,
Glen Waverley and Wheelers Hill's recent price hike, Rowville is now following closely behind!

Too many idiots on the roads at night these days you here them doing burnouts on the roads council does nothing it was so much better years ago very sad

Rowville is a lovely area with big blocks and easy access to amenities.

While there is no train station (closest would be FTG or Noble Park), but there are plenty of bus links and lots of great walking/bike tracks to get places!

Rowville plaza boasts many good shops and major brands, but your closest major shopping centre would be Knox or Mulgrave.

I've rent quite a few homes here and find they are popular with young families due to safety factor and local schools.

Settled in Rowville in 1990's and have moved to another house in Rowville in 2006. The suburb and community is beautiful. And my god have the resale value's shooter with foreign buyers, the neighbour's place that was bought for 650,000 recently sold for 1,250,000... almost double. Only thing I regret and dearly wish was fixed about rowville asap is its public transport, we have 0-none when it comes to quick transport.

Rowville is such an amazing up and coming suburb. It close to the Eastlink and the Monash making it very easy to go anywhere in Melbourne.

It is very family orientated and has some beautiful streets in some of the newer estates.

It has a whole range of housing options from the traditional estates right through to modern, large homes with land.

Even though it is only a short 30 minute drive into the city, you are able to find homes on big blocks so the kids can have plenty of room for cricket and football!

Some areas of Rowville are very close to masses of land so if you are keen to feel as though you are living in the wide open spaces, you may want to look into this area.

Stud Park shopping centre is being upgraded as well and new shops and a restaurant are soon to open at 1091 Stud Rd.

Quiet neighbourhood. No good secondary schools, a bit of racism encountered on the first day i moved in. Some white kid threw an egg on my carport. Also spoke to neighbours who are not white and they share the same views..racism is alive in rowville!

Some area is quiet and green.
Very poor public transport and not close to free way and train station. And the new plan of train? It has planned since 1969.

Be ware of the flood issue. just search "rowville"+"flood" in youtube.

The atomsphere is agreeable with stone-throw shopping centre.

Peaceful and quite life style. Can't wait to move!

No train stations but Trains station are planned to come in Rowville as it is the only suburb in South East without train facilities.

I have been living in Rowville for almost 8 years, found it's a best place to live. Great schools, great neighborhood, very easy access to anywhere, two major freeways nearby, great transport, no powerline accross the street, they are built underground. I bought investment house in Rowville 4 years ago, the rent return is great, it's good to invest in rowville, because it's not like some other places with too many units building, the new state government is going to build a Rowville railway station, and the knox council is going to develop the major shopping centre 'Stud Park' into an activity centre with shops and restaurants and multiple apartments and car park buildings, plus stud park will be a major transport centre for going anywhere around the melbourne. It's about 5 mins drive to knox city shopping centre, 8 mins drive to glen waverley, 8 mins to dandenong market, within 15 mins to chadstone shopping centre, within 30 mins to city. We love here, and recommend to everyone.

In-between the montains, Rowville is such a peaceful area. Close to major highways, easy for families. A lots of options of local shopping centers.

I bought an investment property in Rowville about 12 months ago. Plople were telling me that I should have invested in other suburbs. I got the house valued and it came back $10k less that what i paid for it 12 months ago.

I have moved from UK with my young family and we are simply loving it here in Rowville. It’s a very nice safe and well-situated suburb to reside in. I will give Rowville 9.5 /10. Thumbs up!

Situated 26km south-east (approximately 30 minutes drive) from Melbourne's CBD, Rowville is part of the Knox municipality and is well located in respect to both the Monash Freeway and East Link for easy commute. At the 2006 census Rowville had a population of over 34,000. Geographically, Rowville is one of the largest suburbs south-east of Melbourne.
This family orientated suburb boasts excellent schools, parks, community facilities, sporting clubs & an award winning playground. The Rowville Lakes offer year round pleasure whether it be taking a stroll, letting the children play on the playground or having a spot of fishing.

One word comes to mind for Rowville "Amazing”. Name it and you have got it. Convenience, accessibility, central, friendly, clean, family oriented, facilities, great schooling, shopping, community focus, sporting and above all its location which is bordering both eastern & south eastern fringes of Victoria - Both the best. No wonder the house prices in Rowville are sky rocketing. Its truely an amazing suburb !

I have been renting in Rowville for the past four years and so far it has been the best suburb I have ever lived in. I have rented in numerous suburbs around Melbourne for the Past 20 years and if I intend to buy my own house, I will definitely go for Rowville...WHY? ...Because it has everything a good suburb can offer e.g. safe and clean environment with green picturesque views, convenience of all major arterials (Monash & Eastlink, 20 mins to CBD & 10 minutes drive to major shopping Centers i.e. Chadstone, Knoxfield, Waverly Gardens, Fountain gate, Monash university, great private & public school zones around the suburb in Glen Waverley, Mount Waverley & Wheelers Hill.
Rowville is a very family oriented suburb with many sporting facilities, local community centre, local shopping mall, library, medical centre and if you admire golf - 3 golf courses in one suburb and the list goes on. I will grade Rowville 10/10 for families, couples and retirees. Down side is there is not train or Tram access but then Gen Waverley Train station is again a 10 min drive with everything at your finger tips.
In a nutshell Rowville has a wonderful suburbia feel to it with convenience and accessibility of an urban lifestyle hence you can't go wrong to make this your residential paradise ...YOU WILL LOVE EVERY BIT OF ROWVILLE!

We moved to Rowville after having lived in Greenborough, Brunswick East and Southbank. We were drawn to Rowville in the late 1990's due to plans to start a family. We wanted a suburb which was less than 30klm to the CBD, close to Monash freeway, Monash University, within 30 minutes of the beach, within 20 minutes of the beautiful Dandenong Ranges, close to private schools (Caulfield Grammar, Knox School, Tintern)...and we wanted a new house! We've been here for 12 years now and recently moved to our second house - we stayed in Rowville! This time we've moved to the oldest part of Rowville, but undoubtedly the most serene, tranquil and picturesque part - The Lakes Estate. With a playround and Lake Sutton across the road, our children and ourselves think it largely a hidden oasis in suburbia. Early in the morning, aged people walk their dogs, young people take to a jog, children walk to school and mums push their prams about to set up for a picnic in the park. People fish and share stories about how the big one got away. Have I sold it to you yet? (Read: Herald Sun April 17th 2010. Lovely tree lined streets, young vibrant community with great sporting ammenities and clubs, from Golf, Football, cricket and tennis. A progressive area, much has been done to enhance parks and playgrounds for the kids, the local schools rate very well relative to the state averages. We are a married couple with 2 primary school age children and would recommend the suburb to anyone in same stage of life as us
