Its super awesome

I've lived in various areas of Geelong, but Newtown has to be the best. Everything at your doorstep, river, shopping, restaurants, beach, city (much quicker getting to Melbourne now with new highway addition). Awesome. Have to say though that the MAP on the right is NOT Newtown, Geelong! Needs to be rectified!

I have lived in Newtown and came from interstate. I loved it . Packo st has great shops for food and shopping. Some great pubs too. Found the area very safe and full of friendly people.

Nice, big houses, close to the football and the river.
Can walk the kids to school.

Newtown has it all. It's walking distance to the city centre and to Kardinia Park. The Chiwell end of Pakington street has lots of cafes, restaurants and a nice local pub. There's lots of little fashionable boutiques and shops, which all combine to make a lovely local village feel. It's walking distance to the river which has a 20km walking track along it's length.
There's several good primary and secondary schools in the area too, which make it a perfect place for families with kids.
