Yes it is, ignore the fake reviewer below. It is just pathetic that people in Melbourne keep writing fake reviews to try and scare people out of regional areas and into their cash cow that is Melbourne.

Literally made an account to specifically answer this question, I would 100% not recommend living in Sale or surrounds if you're LGBT+, or any minority group for that matter really. People are very discriminatory and have a classic country mindset, even the ones who you would normally think would be accepting have conservative skeletons in their closet which will get revealed eventually. Every single gay, lesbian etc person I have known, including myself, have expressed either their want to get out of Sale or complain about how they have to begrudgingly accept hiding who they are to live more comfortably and fit in with the quota of what it is to be a Sale local. Would definitely rethink moving to Sale if I were you, unless you have nowhere else to go.
