Reviews of Snug, TAS

"Shhhhh....tell everyone Snug is a dump! That way we get to keep it all to ourselves."

We moved to Snug over 2 years ago and HAVE never looked back - whilst 20 mins from the city might sound like a packed lunch trip to the taswegians anyone coming from the mainland living this close to a major city at the prices paid will think they have hit a jackpot of winnings.

What do we like? The beach, the location to the southern townships of Kettering (Tassies best marina complex by far) and Cygnet not forgetting Peppermint Bay in Woodbridge.

Additionally we need to mention the team of teachers at the local Snug school - what a find....coming from a private education background to experience the school and it's community approach is incredibly emotive - put simply one of the best schools by far. It comes complete with a newly constructed set of buildings (Thnks Mr Rudd) and new facilities for prep and kinder, year 1, admin and play facilities.

Outside are new gardens and a newly created 'Mrs Hasties' garden for the kids to learn all about raising and eating vegetables that a home grown - yep complete with chickens!

Now the bad bits - traffic from the city to snug and viceaversa is terrible with little opportunity to overtake - but seriously treat Snug as a place to relax and unwind, the drive down after work is a great way chill, listen to some music and thanks to Telstra experience a heap of signal dropout on your mobile (meaning no work calls as you get to the Electrona and beyond)

Other bad stuff - whilst the local deli and shop have fantastic owners you are still stuck with deli pricing so buying groceries efficiently pays in the long run. Kingston is 15, Margate is 7 and Huonville is 20 depending on hard you push the go fast pedal.

In all I could go on -if you can contribute to the local community, value your privacy whilst keeping an eye out for your neighbors and don't want to spoil the area with grandiose subdivision or development plans then Snug should be on top of your list.

But whatever you do don't tell many people ok!
