Reviews of Sonia Street, Ringwood

"Family favourite!"

Absolutly lovely Street with a real family vibe and nice houses on decent sized blocks.

Mullum Mullum Creek trail is only minutes walk away and is a a hidden gem offering quiet but beautiful surrounds right in the thick of things.

As a Property Manager looking after a few rental properties in the street, I can confidently say Sonia Street is always popular most likely due to the family feel, close proximity to Norwood High School and locality to central Ringwood.

For investors looking to develop properties, you mind will be at ease knowing rental values are decent and is always popular so vacancies shouldn't be a problem.

"Great area, great people, great lifestyle."

Great place to live. Many residents have lived here since building their homes in the 1960s. Close to nature with Mullum Mullum creek within 2 minutes walk. Walking distance to Norwood Secondary School and Mullum Primary, Norwood Football/Cricket club, parks and Eastland Shopping centre. With eastlink you can be in the City or Frankston in half an hour.

There is a large population of magpies that are not shy. They compare to seaguls and will pinch the food right off your plate. They also poo all over your washing, outdoor furniture and decking. Not a magpie lover at all! There are a lot of dogs in the area but to this day I haven't had any problems with non-stop barking at night.

"a good street for quiet families"

Sonia street is 5 minute walk to State Primary and Secondary Schools.
A 2 minute walk takes you to the Mullum Creek Trail

15 minute walk to Eastland Shopping Centre.

The area is overpopulated with possums which are active at night.
It is not uncommon to see foxes walking the street.

The Street is located in the Municipality of Maroondah City Council. The Council is not that well Managed, the rates are quite high and services are mediocre.
The Council spends much money telling everyone how good they are but in reality the Councils of the past 15 years or so proviided greater value for money in terms of annual rates and charges.

Some neighbours have noisy dogs, especially those at number 10 and there are also nuisance dogs in the section of the street near Jacinthe Court.
