Reviews of Springvale, VIC

"All about community, good food and culture"

I grew up in springvale, went to primary and secondary school here. And oh how much has this surburb developed in 30 years. Springvale is the food central with amazing quality fresh produce at affordable prices, restaurants with all cuisines (yes! Korean, Japanese, dumpling!!!) It is a safe, clean and warm suburb that oozes diversity and culture. The hustle and business adds so much personally and vibrance that even a trip to Springvale central will have you bouncing off the walls .

Houses are booming, prices are booming! Why? Because everyone wants to live in this amazing surburb. New library, community hub, sports facilities and people from all around the world. It's a beautiful suburb.

Definitely the surburb to be in and you won't move once you live here

"A Wonderful Suburb To Live"

Springvale is ideal for singles, young families and retirees to live.
Springvale offers supermarkets, variety of local shops, IKEA Home Maker, M-City, exotic restaurants, bus, train and close to childcare centres, reserve and parks. Good neighbour and people are friendly to talk to. A very good place to buy existing classic home, renovate, invest, land bank and large block for development.

"Great Suburb to live and Grow"

Spingvale is a great Suburb to live and grow. With the local council spending lots of money in developing the suburb it will always be increasing in value and attract more people into our suburb. Great for schooling and easy to get into CBD and major freeways.

"Great Community"

Springvale has changed significantly over the last 10 years, it has really cleaned up nicely. Alot of development has attracted people from all over melbourne to come for the food but stay for the community. I highly recommended Bún Ngon, they have the best Bún bò Huế and gives a generous serving size and a cheap price. Ikea home maker and M-city development nearby has really revolved the suburb and bringing back some life. Great place to buy an older home and knock down rebuild like so many around.

"Average at best"

Strong asian community particularly Vietnamese which is great for food options. Good public transport options. However overpopulation has caused crazy parking problems in the city centre and people are often ignorant and selfish in this respect.

Homes are quite old in this area and I don't believe you are getting good value for your money if you purchase here.

Too far from the CBD but it has a great location only 15min away from Glen Waverley and other great suburbs like Clayton, Oakleigh. Wouldn't say it's the safest suburb either nor is it very neighbourly.

"Affordable and decent place to live"

Moved a year ago and heard the reputation about Springvale. I was worried at first but we've been walking around at midnight, talking walks around and it all seems fine, like any other place. The cheap restaurants and access to public transport is great. It is still an affordable place to live, within 10-15 minutes drive of Glen Waverley, Chadstone etc. Multicultural community, majority Asian but I can see a lot of different types of people and everyone is getting along well.

"Great Food, Great Shopping, Low Cost Living"

There are so many great restaurants around that are competing with each other that everyone here is spoilt for choice with great food for very cheap prices. Not just the food, but all costs of living here are cheap, including hair salons, homeware, electronics etc.
Great community spirit and a vibrant culture makes me very proud to be part of the suburb. Great shopping area and frequent and comprehensive public transport as well. Excellent place for families, retirees, or anyone looking for an affordable place to live.
