Stevenson Street, South Penrith, NSW 2750

Stevenson Street is a great street to live in. Having lived in 5 Stevenson St myself for six months, we found the neighbours to be extremely friendly and cheerful. The house is only 100m from shops and even a local pub which allows a quiet drink on Sunday afternoon.

The only problem was that the house itself (number 5). The house is old and had many problems which the owner did not want to fix. Firstly the air con in the living room broke down and was not fixed or replaced while we remained at the house for the next 4 months. After speaking to the new tenants who moved in after us, they finally had a new air con fitted 6 months into their lease agreement. Secondly, the house had major plumbing problems, the toilet would back flush all over the bathroom floor creating algae, plus the sewage would leak underneath the house onto the lawn created a nasty smell. Also we had the drain in the shower back flow dirty water into the bathroom while using the shower. These problems which were of a health concern were never and still have not been fixed. Unfortunately the owners have no interest in maintaining the problems with 5 Stevenson St and PRD Nationwide could not be bother to assist the Tenants to sort these problems out.

I still live close by to Stevenson st and one of the neighbours is a relative so I have been able to keep note on issues with this house.

Please stay away from this house, it is not worth the hassle and money renting it.
