It's a great suburb at the base of beautiful mountains which allow for a nice green breezy feeling when you are on your balcony. Having the well known Stratford shops in walking distance which has everything you need including one of the best deli's in Cairns. Library, Schools, and Medical facilities are also in the suburb and it has a great array of large parks for family BBQ's and sporting requirements. Only 10 mins from town, and 5 minutes from the airport - it's easy to get to and from. A winner boutique suburb.

I live in Stratford Chase- The newest little St in a 100 year old suburb Only 13 yrs old. We have underground power and a beaut wide street.None of those one way alleys you get now in new subdivisions. The view to Mt Whitfield on one side and the Barron Gorge on the other make a relaxing vista. If you have kids or dogs we have a massive park well maintained by the council.
Even has a view from the top. We are very handy to Freshwater School. Only 5 km to the airport and 10 km to town.Tucked away against Mt Whitfield there is no airport noise and very little traffic
If you have a historical bent the local Histroical Society have done an amazing job on identifing the places of historical interest in our area. Getting to the city is a breeze compared to living on the south side. We even have a small number of good restaurants nearby. Its only 5 km to the new
Redlynch Shopping centre. Beats going to town. This is the quietest street I have lived in.. Im sure someone switches off the Street at night. A top place to live.Have lived here for 12 yrs.Love it.

Stratford is a friendly and safe neighbourhood. Best location as it's close to the city but you can still enjoy the quiet leafy suburb, while being only 10 minutes away from the stunning Northern beaches. There is a variety of beautiful parks in the area that have BBQs to use. Great to take the family out for a Sunday BBQ! The area also has the best schools in Cairns close by, easy to walk to catch the bus. If you enjoy a safe relaxed boutique environment then Stratford is the suburb you want to live in.
