Strathalbyn, SA 5255

Nice town lovely people just a shame the dentist is so dodgy

If you're under 60 don't even bother coming here. I have been living here for 7 months to make 0 friends under 60years old, this town is very narrow minded with people not wanting 'outsiders' to mess with their 'perfect worlds'. They isolate and dehumanise others for entertainment I guess, I have worked and lived in a dozen outback towns in Queensland (towns smaller and larger then Strathalbyn) to have them welcome new people with open arms and are very hospitable. To make friends I had to goto Goolwa and within a couple of visits I had at last made friends and started to develop a social life again.

Strath is a very poor town to live in and i wouldn't recommend my worst enemy living here because it would be inhumane and unjust. I hope this saves atleast one poor soul from making the very poor choice of living here.

Strathalbyn is a perfect place to live, whether you're single, have a family, middle aged or a retiree, you will find Strathalbyn the place to be.... So come stay at one of the lovely motels and relax, mix with friendly locals, enjoy shopping, fine food and country fresh air...See for yourself what Strathalbyn is all about, you wont want to leave! :0)

Have visited quite a few times as we are now looking at moving up this way, it is a lovely country town and we were surprised how easy it is to get to the city and beach. Everyone seems to be very friendly and helpful, and the new estates are brilliant. They have just opened a new library and recently upgraded the pool which will be great for our kids. We look forward to moving here.

Strath was an awesome place to live. As i spent most of my childhood there i know. The people are super friendly and it is quiet and safe. Strath is close to alot of other towns and suburbs. Everyone is nice aand accepting. There is a big focus on football and horses.

Strathalbyn is a great place to live for people of all ages. We do not live in a concrete jungle. We are in a semi-rural area full of peace and quiet. Strathalbyn folks are very caring but not intrusive.
