Summit Place, Mount Ommaney, QLD 4074

The residents of Summit Place were 'high and dry' during the January 2011 flooding of Westlake Drive. The street became 'waterlocked' except for a track to the water tower. We were well serviced with Water Police and constant helicopter surveillance. If we had needed urgent assistance we would have had no problems. Generally this street has a 'country feel' as it is green, high and interestingly there are several deer at night time. There are lovely houses on large blocks of ground. The only downside is the lack of public transport. This does make for quiteness so its a matter of opinion.
The residents are a mix of working professionals and 'stay at home mums'. This is a lovely area to raise a family. The street is short but, very, very steep. Not for the faint hearted. Drainage in the street is excellent due to the incline. Gardens are well kept and there is a sense of pride.
