Reviews of Swansea St, East Victoria Park

"Great Character Homes. So close to great stuff."

Lived here for a decade and it is to good to leave. Section between Mint and Dane has underground power and beautiful shady paperbark trees.

"A busy nightlife, not the safest street!"

I lived here for 2 years and was constantly battling the traffic and noise both during the day and at night. 3 Break and Enters in two years had us moving to another street.

"Swansea St - Best street in EVP by far"

Swansea St is the perfect spot, especially the part between Dane and Mint streets. Lovely large frontages, quality homes, no units or homeswest. Most of the houses are character homes, and have had a lot of work done. All under ground power, with a laneway running behind for cars of rear homes. A short stroll and you are in the cafe strip, at the Balmoral, or at the park centre. Public transport on the bus is easily accessible via Albany Hwy, or Shepperton Road, and the train station is about a 5 - 10 min walk at the most.

if you can find a home on a fullsize block, these are a goldmine, as there is not many left now.

Great for

  • Wide verges. Beautiful shady street trees. very quiet. Close to everything. Charscter brick homes

"Beautiful wide leafy street."

Its easy to see that the Vic Park Council really looks after Swansea st. Underground power, widest verges, beautiful shady Peppermint trees. Very quiet, yet walking distance to great shopping and restaurants on Albany Highway. Carlisle Train station is a 5 minute walk and its only 5 to 10 minutes drive to and from the city depending on the time of day. Superb character homes abound, especially near the Mint St intersection.
