Tallong, NSW 2579

Tallong is clean and green area, lovely and quiet, we have space in Tallong Park, all the blocks are small acreage. The public transport is little but what we have is great. We can catch school bus outside our house to either Bundanoon Goulburn, or Moss Vale, Mittagong or Bowral. We can catch early trains from Tallong Station to City Central. There is a rail bus which passes Tallong each morning and comes back around 1.56pm or you can catch school bus home if you make arrangements to pick you up in Goulburn. We have wonderful shopping in Goulburn or Moss Vale, Bowral and Mittagong, we just make shopping a day out and it is fun. There are no traffic problems in Tallong, driving is a pleasure. Restaurants are at all the villages mentioned, we have good medical facilities, the ambulance service is fantastic. There is only good to be said about living in this wonderful area.

Great Community, fantastic primary school and buses to two differnt high schools and only 20 mins to Goulburn!

I lived in Tallong for about 8yrs when I was growing up with my family. Tallong is a great place to live if you like the quite life and are looking for rural living. Although it is a approx 30 mins to Goulburn or 30 mins to Moss Vale in the other direction there is a train station and school buses which will get you to both destinations. There is a real community spirit in this small town and always someone to lend a hand. The local primary school only had about 30 kids about 10 years ago which I am sure has grown in numbers by then. With the Shoalhaven gorge just on your doorstep there is fantastic bushwalking, camping and swimming opportunities (if you are up for a decent hike). After just recently visiting Tallong again after leaving 10 years ago it was great to see that it hadnt changed too much and I recommend it as a great place to live and raise a family.

Friends and neighbours are always willing to lend a hand which makes for a great community spirit. Children grow up with a great grounding in 'real life situations' eg fire, drought and they appreciate the basics in life - love, happiness, good health. The clean, healthy atmosphere enables us to grow and enjoy our own produce.
