Reviews of Tanilba Bay, NSW

"Well kept secret and we like it that way!"

Have lived here for about three years. This is a lovely, peaceful, clean little town with gorgeous beaches, good fishing and boating. The area is underdeveloped but has great parks and boardwalks around the beach. There is adequate shopping: Coles, bakeries, butchers, small boutiques, hardware store, pharmacy, star value shop, cafes/eateries, excellent clubs and fantastic Poyers couple of kms away in Lemon Tree. Good mix of housing, old and new. Good mix of people, small primary school. Lovely place to live, retire and enjoy life.

"A wonderful family friendly area with lots of things to do and see"

Tanilba Bay is a place full of surprises, Dolphin's are seen swimming in the bay, Koala's can be viewed in there natural habitat, kangaroos are found at dusk hopping in the clearings around the area, the local school has a fantastic reputation for quality teaching, the shopping centre boasts Coles, and Liquorland, and has a variety of smaller shops, with a good quality bakery, Eagle boys pizza, and the Oyster shack providing takeaway food options, and for those who would prefer to eat out, there's the Tiligerry RSL Sports Club, Tanilba Bay Golf Club plus Cafes and Restaurants at Lemon Tree Passage. There is also a Thrifty Link Hardware, a Caltex service station and various op shops.
If your a boating enthusiast, there are plenty of places to drop the boat in and go for a fish or ski, the water is so close no matter where you live, for those who enjoy a picnic, plenty of tables are available at the waters edge near the bay. Boat hire is available at Lemon tree passage just a couple of minutes drive away. For the kids, the Oakvale farm and Dizzyland are both ten minutes drive, a good area for bike and skateboard riding, also has a local pool and sports complex.
This is a quiet peaceful area with lots to do and plenty to see, and Salamander Bay, Anna Bay, Taylors Beach and Nelson Bay are an easy drive.
