"Quiet Leafy Suburb"

Taylors Hill is master planned community with sporting grounds, large house blocks, parks, walking tracks, playgrounds and lakes.
Taylors Hill is comprised of two estates Watervale and Taylors Hill.
Homes and gardens are well looked after and have great street appeal.
Reminds me of the many "Leafy " suburbs of Melbourne, with so much greenery not only in the parks but also the many homes.

"A truly superb suburb!!!"

I've lived in Taylors Hill for a little over 2 years with my family and have enjoyed every minute. It is simply wonderful. A great community with lots of parks and recreational opportunities. The educational options are fabulous also, state, independent and catholic schools surround us, many of which perform at a very high standard. We too have lots of options in regards to shopping precincts and are never too far from all the hot spots that make Melbourne great. My neighbourhood is peaceful, safe, welcoming. and it is a pleasure living in this idyllic suburb.

"Best suburb building its own reputation as an elite one"

Great sized blocks with great streetscapes. Gourlay road is now complete and commuting has been a breeze. Surrounded by shopping centres- caroline springs, watervale and taylors hill shopping centres. Southern cross grammar, parkwood green and gilson college. Gyms, biggest coles supermarket. Tennis courts and parks. Swimming centres. Each time I drive through the area its been a pleasure. Welcome to the best in the west!

"A long way to go"

After living in for 7 years at taylors Hill, all I can say is it is fantastic place for young couples or singles but not a place where you would like to bring your kids up. Nice and cheap houses on big block of land is the only attaraction here. The quality of education in schools is very poor and security here is another big concern for me. With a 5 year old now, I have decided to move to Eastern Suburbs (Mckinnon). Because of the affordable houses, the crowd this place is attracting is not necessarily educated. may be in 15 years' time, taylors Hill will become livable for families.

"Taylors Hill"

I have lived in Taylors Hill for 7 years; it is a fairly nice area with lots of new houses coming up. When we purchased the land approximately 9 years ago, we were promised shops within walking distance of our house, which was the reason we chose the block we did. Those shops never came, and 7 years later, Caroline Springs have started some work on some new shops for us. The area has lots of parks within walking distance, and there are exercise and football clubs that use the parks that you are free to join. There are no rules in Taylors Hill to how long you can build. This is not a great idea as you could be looking at a weed covered block for the next 15 years, and some owners put up temporary fencing across their blocks, which is not attractive to the street. A lot of the corner block owners also do not take care of their nature strip on the side of their block so unfortunately the area becomes covered with weeds and debris. On the other hand, some people do take a lot of pride in the appearance of their street which does make it beautiful. Caroline Springs, Watergardens and a soon to be completed Woolworths at Watervale are the closest shopping centres, which is a good range, but the area is lacking in the local milkbar for now. There are heaps of pre schools and primary schools near by some within walking distance. Gourlay Road, Hume Drive and Calder Park Drive can be busy roads during peak hour but not enough for traffic jams. Overall the area is a growing one, and I feel in 10 years time it might be a good looking one, but for now, I personally find it lacking.

"Friendly Neighbourhood !!!"

I have been living in this area for the last Four years. Big blocks of land, very friendly neighbourhood, safe and sound environment, less traffic and easy access to public transport. Enjoy my evening walk. Undoubtedly best in the west. What else do you want! A perfect place to live when compared to many other suburbs.

"A perfect place to live."

I work in the city and driving in from Taylors Hill is a pleasure. There is next to no traffic compared to what I used to put up with coming in from Wantirna South. Magnificent community spirit. There are parks and playgrounds at every corner.
