"Great place to live"

I wasnt always a Temora resident but I moved back in 1997 and cant imagine being anywhere else. I own a local Real Estate in Temora and I love telling people all the benefits of picking Temora. We arent far from bigger town and citys and we have a great country atmosphere. Everyone usually says hello even if they dont know you.
Plenty of sporting clubs, schools and water sports. Great local shops with great diversity. plenty of places to sit and have a bite and a cuppa

"There's a reason it's number 1"

I've lived in Temora for about 3 years, and I can say that it's the best town I've ever lived in. The council knows what they're doing, mostly everyone's friendly (you'll obviously have your grumpies), food choices are amazing, shopping choices aren't the best BUT Wagga is only 40 mins away :) rent is relatively cheap as well as house prices, streets are always quiet except for trucks and the occasional dropkick, parking is always available nearly everywhere, it's the best place to raise a family, and it's such a clean town, I love it here.

Great for

  • You can always get a good feed
  • Parking spaces always available
  • Friendly
  • Great health and community services

Not great for

  • Lack of shopping options
  • Good luck finding a job

"Great Community Spirit in a Rural Country Town"

I grew up in Temora. I have lived in Sydney, Griffith and Wagga and moved back to Temora at the age of 22. Temora is a great place to raise a family. New medical centre, good shopping options, and a number of cafes and dining choices. All sporting codes - Rugby League, Rugby Union, AFL, Netball, Basketball, Soccer, Horse Riding & Harness Racing, & the list goes on...
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else!!!

"Safe and sound to raise your family."

Mad about sport. Mostly anglo-saxon (though a nice Phillipino community is growing) so not a huge diversity of culture, unfortunately, but very welcoming to all newcomers. Can be heavy drinkers. Crime rate is mostly only alcohol-related. Takes 5 mins to nip down and grab something from Woollies cos you'll always get a park. All schools are good - 2 public primary schools (one with a good support unit), a Govt high school and a Catholic K - 10 school. Friendliest town in NSW.

Rentals in Temora

"A very relaxed and comfortable place to live"

We were sent here for work in January 2007 and decided to stay because the town is so friendly and happy. It has all the facilities you need including doctors, dentists, eye specialists, hospital etc, shops catering for almost everything and a gorgeous picture theatre as well as every sport under the sun- even speed boat racing. (Hmmm you can't go skiing)
No public transport except for taxis but then most places are within walking distance. Most people I know only seem to fill their cars every month or so and that is because they have decided to have an outing in nearby Wagga, Young, Junee, Griffith, Cootamundra, West Wyalong, Narrandera or Coolamon. All these towns are within a very easy drive.
Country Link bus comes through every day to take you to Cootamundra where you can get the train to Sydney or Melbourne or another bus to Canberra etc.
Canberra is 2 hours 10 minutes away by car.
Check out the house prices. You can find a really nice home at a very reasonable price.

"Temore - take to the air."

Temora has earned the title of friendliest town and it is not surprising why. Situated in the Riverina district t 90 kms north of Wagga Wagga, Temora is a great place to take a rest on route to and from capital cities. Apart from the great hospitality of this town it is also famous for aviation and has a wonderful aviation museum. There is gliding, hot air ballooning, Temora Aerodrome and skydiving. Visit the arts and crafts shops as well as the local markets. There are plenty of sporting and recreational activities to indulge in or you can walk in one of the surrounding nature reserves. Accommodation is plentiful as are the places to eat and the friendliness of the locals.Ideal place for all ages to visit.
