"A Beautiful Place To Unwind & Relax, Peaceful & Quiet & Not That Far From Melbourne ...Something For Everyone"
The Gurdies is a small hidden village located just past Koo Wee Rup & Lang Lang (just past where the Holden Proving Ground is). It is a town located within The Gurdies State Forest which is a protected Flora & Fauna Reserve. It's streets run off The Gurdies St. Helier Road. It is the entrance to the Hills & beautiful views of the Bass Valley. If you like bushwalking, mountain bike riding, horse riding, bird watching or just plain kicking back and relaxing, this is the place for you. Wineries abound in the region & wildlife is plentiful. The sunsets over Western Port Bay & French Island are to die for.
The drive to Phillip Island, Wonthaggi, Cranbourne & Pakenham take about 1/2 hour and to Frankston and Dandenong just under an hour, but nice highway driving most of the way.
There are all types of properties there from small cottages to prestigeous homes on acreages..something for everyone.
Worth checking out this still relatively undiscovered neck of the woods; you just drive past it unless you know it's there.....Resident of The Gurdies.

- Closest supermarket is Foodworks at Lang Lang which is about a 10 minute drive, the next one being at Tooradin about 20 minute drive
- Kangaroos occasionally jump across The Gurdies St Helier Rd, so have to be careful driving there.
- No good if you don't like driving less than 1/2 hour to work
