"Amazing lifestyle"

Living here is very relaxed. Nice and quiet close to shops and restaurants , but far enough from city to have the country feel. Not too far from airport for Fifo workers. Just a great place to settle.

"Semi-Rural pocket surrounded by Suburbia"

The Vines is a unique suburb in that it is built around the 2 golf courses - the Ellenbrook Course and the Lakes Course - of The Vines Resort and Country Club and despite being surrounded on the western side by the housing development suburbs of Aveley and Ellenbrook retains a semi-rural vibe throughout the majority of the suburb. It is not uncommon to see Kangaroos and Emus in the paddocks on the left hand side as you drive up Chateau Place from Millhouse Road towards the gatehouse.

Majority of the homes in The Vines are older - built in the early 1990's through to the early 2000's and are on larger than average block sizes - acre blocks, 1/2 acre blocks, 1000m2-800m2 and the townhouses on 200-300m2 blocks right near the resort. Towards the Northern end of the suburb is the more recent Equis Lakes development with more traditional housing development sized blocks and houses. House prices, sizes and styles vary hugely and there is a good mix of home owners and renters in the suburb. There is no Homeswest housing in The Vines.

Public transport links to The Vines are poor. There are special service Transperth buses that do the school pick up and drop offs, but for a regular bus service it is a decent walk into Ellenbrook (Annies Landing) or Aveley. So a car is a must have to live out here.
There was a shop/deli near the gatehouse that has been closed for 5+ years, but there is the 10th Tee Cafe up the back of The Vines near Dalmilling Drive owned and run by Christine and her daughters. They make an awesome coffee and have a good selection of cakes, pies and sandwiches to buy - most of which are home made. You can also grab milk & the newspaper here if you need.

If you are looking for somewhere that you can come home and not feel like you are in the suburbs, but still be relatively connected to conveniences, The Vines is a lovely place to live.
