"Thebarton - Convenient & Affordable City Fringe Living at it's Finest"

Thebarton is located on Adelaide's city fringe, offering convenient access to everything. I thriving city fringe suburb full of wonderful character residences and some industrial areas. It has great locals shops, cafes, pubs, the new tram line extension meaning the city is now easier than ever to access if you don't feel like walking into the city.

Great for

  • City fringe location
  • Great public transport
  • Character homes
  • Pubs

Not great for

  • A little industrial

"Just so close to the City"

Great little suburb within walking distance of the CBD, only 5 to 6 bus stops and the best thing is the tram service, who needs a car! With a decent Foodland in George Street and brilliant butcher on West Thebby road all your bases are covered. With a plethora of pubs, my favourite the Wheaty on George St, what a selection of beers that place has.

Great for

  • Close to city
  • Pubs
  • Character homes

Not great for

  • A little industrial
  • Some narrow streets

"city living at its best"

I have lived in Thebarton for many years. It is withing walkign distance to town making the trip to and from work very conveniant and saves so much money on fuel. the tram ride in to town and back is free too.

There are lots of small parks and playgrounds for the kids and Bonython Park is lovely. The shops are close and there is always an opportunity for a great resale price on your home

"An artsy suburb just to the west of the city"

Located to the immediate west of Adelaide, Thebarton is a convenient spot just a 5 minute drive or quick bus ride from the CBD.

The suburb is undergoing quite a rapid development, with a number of older homes being renovated or replaced by modern townhouses and courtyard homes. House prices have been heading upwards quite solidly, but it is still a great spot for first home buyers or renters.

A number of cafés have popped up in the area in recent times, and there are some large supermarkets nearby.

With a couple of grungy pubs and home to the Thebarton Theatre (popular for indy music), the suburb has quite a cruisy feel which is popular with uni students.
