"Best kept secret"
We have seen the northern end of Thompson Road develop into a wonderful, friendly area. We will miss our neighbours, both young and not so young and the many friendly members of the community as they walk their dogs by with a smile and a hello. With SEW park a few metres away with swings etc and the wonderful walk along the river and yet only a short walk to Leighton Beach. With Cafe's, bar, eateries, great deli, gyms etc there is everything here to enjoy.

"Quiet on Sundays and has the potential to be a family area but the mill prevents this because of the constant noise and operations. There is a wonderful sea breeze but you can't open doors and windows because of the noise and dust."
24 hour Flour Mill (motors and fork lifts) noise from Mondays at 4.00am. Trucks start arriving at 5.00 am. No parking is allowed around the mill so that the large trucks can enter and leave the mill. Houses become very dusty quickly from the mill's flour dust.

Not great for
