Moved into the area August 2020 and our house was robbed within the first 2 weeks of settling in. A lot of trucks and hoons with aftermarket exhaust turning off from Ballarat road onto Thomson Street at all hours of the day and into the night. Ballarat road is noisy so just make sure you do your due diligence before moving to Thomson St. Hospital nearby so you will hear sirens very often. Shops and transport isn’t walking distance. It is a short drive. Otherwise, friendly neighbourhood with a few parks near by, affordable houses and average internet connection.
