Greenslopes

"An easy suburb to live in"

The best things about Greenslopes: easy access to city whether by bus (busway in particular) or car; easy access to both south and north coasts, now that the Inner City Bypass is available. Most streets are quiet, although traffic on Ridge Street is getting heavier. Although there is an increasing amount of in-fill developmenet occuring, most of it is sensitive to the area. Could do without townhouses being built at the back of existing Queenslanders though.
Also easy access to major shopping area, the hospital of course and bikeways.

Things that Greenslopes could improve: a wider variety of decent cafes and restaurants. We have the Stones Corner precinct which has no restaurants at all (apart from basic sushi and Thai). This area is a natural for setting up a group of restaurants in the Martha Street, Camp Hill mode. Get to it - prospective restauranteurs!
