Port Willunga

"Port Willunga, a special place to rest your hat ..."

I grew up in the city of Adelaide and if someone ever were to say to me, I'd be moving to the coastal wine region, I'd say they didn't know me at all. That was seven years ago and to this day I feel like my part of the world near the linear park with sea and valley
views is my serenity, the perfect balance to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and pollution. I commute every day to the city for work, either on the new electric train from Seaford [7 mins drive away] or drive on the new dual expressway [45 mins] to the CBD. Don't get me wrong, I love the city, love meeting up with friends after work or taking in a show, but can't wait every day to get home to Port Willy and go for a beach walk. From the day I moved there, I found the locals to be so friendly and still are, I find that people who live in Port Willy chose to live there and appreciate what it offers, beautiful beaches, surrounded by beautiful eateries, you're 10 mins away from McLaren Vale, Willunga, Aldinga and there are so many fabulous new chic and interesting places opening up ... tourism and events are held often and the southern region do it well ... Tour Down Under / Wine and food festivals / Formal beach dinners ... if you're creative, look no further, Port Willy has inspired actors, poets, writers, artists, photographers, musicians ...
