Dubbo

"Low class town"

Not according to police statistics. Maybe it was your lifestyle.

CJF34259

I worked here as a police officer. Statistics don't always show a true reflection and do get 'fudged'. Dubbo does have big problems. Obviously don't live near the Apollo Estate, North-East Dubbo and in the vicinity of East Street, West Dubbo.

adriel

I don't know about dangerous but groups of "ethnic" guys staring at you when you walk past them in the street is definitely off putting. I think Dubbo is good otherwise, plenty of options and the shopping centres are good.

Mudgee

"No need to leave town when on holidays"

Best place to live in Australia. We have lived here for 4years. We have lived in lots of small towns and Mudgee is the best one yet. This is a town for families there is so much to do if you want to get out there Art, Sport,Winers markets every weekend and so much more. For the size of the town we have everthing you could want in a 5min drive. l find the people happy and friendly how lucky we are to have found it.

Thanks. Seems from reading most of the reviews on here, the story that you need to "be a local or don't bother, you aren't welcome" is a myth.

Good thing too. My husband and I want to move here one day.

benlauren1

It's not a myth.

l'm sorry you didn't find what you were looking for here benlauren1 , but as you have said yourself you have moved on to Orange were the population is 50% larger than Mudgee how about you do move on and stop baging our Magical Mudgee .5 year here we no nilly everyone and we love them.
