Albert Street

"Another little gem close to everything."

A street in the older part of town. Close to everything... golf, cricket, tennis, football, netball, horse racing, local gym and swimming pool. The higher end of the street has views across the town, and over to the hills in the west! A lot of the older residents of this street are starting to down size to smaller homes, and new families are moving in and renovating some of these fantastic older homes.

Great for

  • There's a little op shop that is run to benefit the local hospital. ( Lots of great bargins!!! )
  • Walk to local hotels for a meal and no need for a taxi home.
  • Friendly street.

Not great for

  • The far northen end of the street is a dirt road. ( 2/3 of the street is sealed)

Victoria Parade

"Clean and Green"

What is'nt there to love about this street.... Close to everything!!! Walk to the swimming pool, golf course, race course, main street, schools, library, hospital.... EVERYTHING!!! Enough room for kids to ride their bikes safely, without being in traffic. The community centre is also in this street, and is a fantastic way to meet other families in the area.

Great for

  • Close to the park, kids have got extra room to play.
  • Walking tracks along the Kilmore creek. And there is a reserve the full length of the street.
  • The higher end of the street has fantasic views across the town.

Kilmore

"A great place to come home to!!"

Kilmore is approximately 61 kms from the city. I have lived here my entire life. As a child growing up in a country town, we had the freedom to ride our bikes in the streets, play sport with our friends ( Football, Netball, Tennis, Cricket.. etc) . We have a fantastic golf course, race course, football ground, cricket ground, tennis courts, netball courts, hospital and great aged care facilities all within the town. We also have a heated swimming pool and gym owned by the local council. I have worked both locally and in the city and have found the hour commute into Melbourne a breeze, with trains running from Kilmore East station approximentmately every hour.

Great for

  • Peace & Quiet
  • Private and public schools
  • 30 minutes to major shopping centres

Not great for

  • Only 1 major supermarket (Coles), but only 15 minute drive from Safeway at Wallan
