Belhaven Terrace

"Great!"

Walk to beach and local school, good spot in newer Quinns, not rough.

Glencoe Avenue

"Keep looking...."

I lived in this street for ten years (opposite the lake).
During daytime home opens of our house Werrington lake, whilst overgrown, looked picturesque, the place for picnics on summer days. Boy, were we wrong. Truth was, I couldn't go to the Lake without my cranky German shepherd, and once that didn't deter some sicko from following me and making lewd suggestions.

In the time we were there, there was one suicide, (found one Sunday morning by dog walkers), a friend of mine was sexually assaulted cutting through to the high school, I witnessed a couple getting really explicit on the fence at 10pm one night, there were numerous spot fires, dumped torched cars. The lake just seemed to attract low-life loiterers and teenage trouble makers. It's simply too isolated.

If you are considering glencoe ave near the lake, please consider googling the lake first.
Now that I am a mother, I am really grateful I'm not raising my children there.

Eskdale Street

"Excellent spot!"

Fabulous street, very quiet, close to transport links (m4, m7, great western hwy).
Nice and peaceful, no through traffic, people friendly and a nice place to bring up kids.
We used to have prostitutes with their clients parking out front in the evenings, this seems to have died down. (Nothing a good front light can't fix)
Only downside i can think of, busy street for parking on Sundays, due to popularity of church. No problem at all really.

"Love this quiet cul-de-sac!"

Loved our time in Alexander Heights.
Great proximity to shops(both local and bigger centres), sports fields, doctors, post office, and the city.
Great little street, very neighbourly, with people watching out for each other, and kids play at the top of the cul-de-sac. Would return there in a heartbeat.

Quinns Rocks

"Great for couples, families and retirees"

Great suburb, we have fabulous amenities close by (great private and public schools within walking distance, supermarkets, hairdressers, doctors, pharmacy, choice of childcare facilities etc).
The only suggestion I have is look carefully, proper Old Quinns (oceanfront) and new Quinns really great, but there are parts where swanky meets skanky (as one of my clients put it).
