Sydney (CBD)

"Best fit for single professionals"

Millers Point provides great access for those working in the northern end of the CBD, which suits young professionals best of all. Housing is mainly apartments and some terraced housing towards the waterfront. Noise and pollution are the main issue here, as any house/apartment fronting the north-south freeway will be pounded by constant hum all day and night - which will have an impact on your health over medium term. Recreation is better than some may think with great walks around the Rocks, Observatory Park and further over to the Botanical gardens all on the doorstep. Of course, restaurants and nightlife of the city all nearby too and transport options out of the city all within 10 mins walk whether train, bus or ferry. Recommend the location for short term stays and single professionals - but do consider getting a property facing the west if a longer term stay.

Northbridge

"Perfect for young professional families"

Northbridge is the perfect mix of quiet surrounds and city access. All amenities are nearby, including large shopping complex (by inner city standards), great schools, sports facilities and a good mix of restaurants & shops in the suburb or within 1-2kms. Northbridge still represents good value vs other inner city suburbs but the gap is closing as more & more properties are being bought and renovated to upper class standard. Views are excellent from many locations given the water surrounds and slope of the peninsula. We are a young professional family with kids and woudl find it hard to locate a better mix of lifestyle, proximity, amenity and value for money in Sydney.
