Ambarvale

"Central Location and Affordable Housing!"

The main reason that we moved to Dickens Road Ambarvale was the affordability and access to Sydney Airport, where I work. Macarthur train station is only 5 mins drive away (or a long walk), and is on the same line. Train journey to the airport is around 55 mins, or 40 mins by car (outside peak - which is when I normally go to work). There are not too many areas in Sydney where you can get a sub $300k house on a big block of land.

A lot of investment is occurring around Dickens Road, Aldi has recently opened up, primary and high schools are within walking distance, the Campbelltown Golf Club is ony 5 mins drive away. Not to mention the unreal Macarthur Square, with over 100 new shops, only 2 mins drive away! Just around the corner is Campbelltown public and private hospital, and a lot of investment in Park Central. The Catholic club is under $10 in a taxi, and the parks at Park Central are new and very clean with bbq's etc. Bunnings, tennis courts, swimming pools, gyms are all only less than 5 mins drive away. Also restraunts like Ribs'N'Rumps, Pancake factory etc are all all close by.

It appears that this side of Campbelltown is growing (investing) compared with the centre of Campbelltown (not as much investment on new buildings).

Although close to housing commission, the government has announced spending around $40 million in cleaning this up. We have big fences so this does not worry us. At the bottom end of Dickens Road is probably the best, the top end is the area that needs renewing. Demolition has already started of public housing. When this finally occurs, the location of so many ammenities will make this area a good one to live. There is a little graffiti which is probably from a few individuals.

So the main advantage of this street is it's central locationand being in an affordable location. It is actually a quiet street.

"One of the Best Streets in Newcastle"

I lived in Bershire Avenue as a teenager, and Bershire Avenue is one of the best in Newcastle!

Close to the Beach (5 mins Drive), excellent neighbours.

Great views of Newcastle.

Great for families.

Wish I could afford to live there again!
