Rayner Street

""Lived all over Australia but really love Living in Altona""

The street has extra wide tree lined nature strips. It has some of the nicest houses in the suburb and most are on 1/4 acre blocks. The people are quiet and friendly. The traffic is minimal due to the street not going directly to the esplenade on the beach front. But it is still close enough to hear the ocean at night. Due to the large backyards a nice ocean breeze flows up from the beach during summer. The Altona primary school is just around the corner as is the local bus stop. It is an easy 2 min walk down to the beach. My wife and I originally fell in love with Altona in the yr 2000. We were living in Seddon and decided to take the kids to the beach at Altona. I was in the water near the end of the jetty holding my 5 yr old daughter when a pod of dolphins popped up in the water around us only metres away. It was an enlightening experience like no other that I had encountered so close to shore. It was an incredible moment that helped us decide to live in Altona after moving back from queensland in 2006. Everything is so close and accessable its the perfect place to live.
