Chapman St

"Great place to live"

Life in Chapman Street
Chapman Street is located in 'Paris" end of Surry Hills. Although this is a real estate agents corny term to push up the price of real estate in the area it does in some way describe the area.

Chapman St is a cul-de-sac running off Phelps St which connects to Bourke St. As it is a closed street it is extremely quite yet close to all the action in Crown St and Taylor Square.

As you turn Chapman Street, the first thing you notice is the green canopy that overhangs the road. All the homes are 1800's terraces adding to the 'Paris' feel.

Just around the corner in Bourke St and Crown St are some of the best eating in Sydney. Il Bareto has excellent Italian and unless your a local your unlikely to get a seat any night of the week. Further along Bourke St is the Bourke Street Bakery which has without doubt the best meat pies and sausage rolls in Sydney.

s Jacobs’ Place which is a quaint little strip of cafés and boutique eateries.

Across South Dowling St is a great park if your have a dog or want to kick a ball around. Futher afield is Cenntenial Park which has over 10 acres of parkland to play around in.

Overall Paris Street has a great feel about it. With the annual street Christmas party and many more families moving into the street its a great place to live.
