The Strawberry Farm in Pimpama is a popular spot for families where people can pick strawberries and try a number of strawberry delights while the kids play with the animals in the farmyard. Three of the Gold Coasts famous theme parks are also a 10 minute drive from Ormeau.

The Ormeau Centre is the key shopping facilitiy for the area containing post office, doctor, bet, bakery, cafe, IGA, chemist, real estate agent and newsagent. Thus, the essentials are covered. Bi-Lo is additionally located at the Norfolk Village Shopping Centre. It is a northern suburb of the Gold Coast positioned midway between Brisbane and Surfers Paradise. Victoria Point

"Bunker Road Victoria Point 4165"

Victoria Point boasts a number of schools, shopping centres, a library, and a cinema complex at the Victoria Point Lakeside Centre. Victoria Point is a pretty bayside precinct that ambles along at an easy pace, and is the gateway to Moreton Bay's quirkily named Coochiemudlo Island.
With a multitude of parks and esplanades within its boundaries, Victoria Point is another popular spot for leisurely outdoor afternoons spent strolling, cycling, or enjoying a barbecue with family and friends.
Coochiemudlo Island is just a few minutes from Victoria Point by ferry. Regular passenger ferries and vehicle barges depart every half an hour from the Victoria Point Jetty, Colburn Avenue

Victoria Point has a number of beach areas including popular Thompsons Beach, a small child-friendly area. A number of retirement villages also exist in the suburb.

My thoughts are that Nundah is so close to ALL types of transport, especially train and bus, it is a major source of information and direction for new retirees and their families, hop skip or jump to airport, Hamilton, Gateway, Toombul Shopping Town, Schools, Churches, Community Support Systems, Chermside Business District, Clayfield Business District, Hospitals, Recreational facilities such as Kalinga Park & it's walking tracks & parks designed for adolescents to play on their scateboards....... It really has been one of the very best suburbs especially since 1997 (with the proposed town plan changes) with many builders renovating unit blocks for Investors and First Home Buyers.........

Tamar Street

"Tamar Street"

Situated in the heart of Annerley this friendly suburb is close to all amenities and is of walking distance to Fairfield and Dutton park train station, the PA Hospital and convenience and grocery stores also nearby. Annerley is a popular suburb close to the city with a mix of character housing and modern townhouses and businesses. Annerley residents have a large choice of libraries and major shopping centres within an easy drive or close to public transport.

Only a few minutes’ drive from the centre of Annerley is Toohey Forest where the tranquillity of the eucalypt forest offers an immediate escape from the traffic noise on busy Ipswich Road. Annerley has the Ipswich Rd through the centre of the suburb and the Pacific Motorway on the eastern side. Away from the main roads, there are some very nice streets with character houses. Travel to CBD:- Bus from Greenslopes Busway Station (11 min approx); Train from Fairfield station (11 min approx) or Train from Fairfield station (15 min approx).
It has a strong rental market due to its high number of units and its close distance to the City. Being so close to the City means Annerley residents are well serviced with shopping and entertainment facilities.
