Windsor is a small historical town, on the outskirts of Sydney. It's far enough from the city to have a friendly safe feel, but it's still on the train line for easy access. Recently there has been a bypass / flood route built, a new cycle route, the completion of dual carriageway all the way to Windsor, a new museum, the new Windsor Riverview shopping centre (anchored by Coles), and the new Windsor Town Centre Shopping Centre (anchored by Woolworths). The main pedestrian area is great for little individual shops, and of course is where the Sunday Markets are held - these are extremely popular! In the last month there was also the Jazz Festival. Lots of new restaurants and eateries are opening, and it just seems to be really a newly developing, revitalised, and up & coming area.
